| Registered User | Pulled neck muscle (OUCH)!!! WTF! I was doing twisting crunches last night before bed with 30lb DB plates behind my head..... Everything was fine till I woke up this morning, then bamm! I can't turn or move my neck up or down. Anyone know what I should do and how long does it last? ![]() |

| Avant Research Rep Board Sponsor | My neck takes more of a beating than anything because of BJJ (no editing or jokes here). I wake up with a stiff neck practically everyday from either weight lifting or grappling. Treat it as you would treat your legs:slowly stretch them and gradually increase your ROM. | Registered User | I guess ill do slow stretching like you said Rodja and hope that will help.... What makes the pain?... Is it a muscle that is swollen and pushing on something?.... and what's BJJ? |

| Board Supporter | I was checked head first into the boards playing hockey a couple years ago and I broke my collarbone along with pulling/tearing muscles in my neck (Sternocledomastoid and scalenes). Definitely no fun! |
