Anyone know a good tasting Oat brand that is very high in fiber, also how much sugar is acceptable for oats? Thanks in advance

Oats is oats. They have no added sugar. That is unless of course you buy instant flavored crap.

Quaker Oats (rolled oats)
1/2 cup serving (dry)
27g carbs
4g fiber
-2g soluable
-2g insoluable
1g sugars

Okay, thanks Im gonna go get me some.

If you want to save some money, head to Costco or Sam's Club and buy the 9 pound box of Quaker oats. If I'm not mistaken the box is around 10 bucks or so.

Make sure you buy the old fashioned type, not the 1 minute instant. They have a lower GI and thus give you less of an insulin spike.
They may not taste as good, but better for slow release.

A strong example of how one's careful research (reading the side of the container) can yield tremendous amounts of valuable information!!!

Taste is okay by itself. I just mix in a pack of splenda and it tastes much better.

Whats the serving size for that?

I know for rolled oats it is 1/2 cup dry, but steel cup is 1/4 cup dry. I googled it and found this.

Invalid Link Removed

It says a 1/3 cup is 130 kcals....ummmmm

My post above doesnt seem to make too much sense.

rolled oats @ 1/2 cup dry = 140-150kcals

steelcut @ 1/4 cup dry = 150 kcals

organic oat bran (website I listed above) @ 1/3 cup dry= 130 kcals

There...that is a little easier to understand..!
