Hey folks. Went to my local fish store and couldn't find any bpa free fish cans. Anyone have any suggestions?
The refined "whole" grains found everywhere in the store and our diet are more likely to cause cancer. Canned fish is perfectly healthy. Mercury may be a legit concern but I wouldn't worry unless you are eating them more than twice everyday.Went see my doc today and asked em about it. Told me to stay away from canned foods - says they can be linked to cancer?????
Cans are lined with plastic so all canned foods are potentially exposed to BPA.If the fish is canned then it shouldn't be exposed to the BPA found in plastics.
Me eitheri would not be worried about BPA in foods
The amounts are what's important. How much BPA does one need to consume for these supposed effects to occur. As a male I don't feel like I should be injesting any estrogen inducing compounds if I can avoid it? The research is there that proves that BPA is estrogenic, to a significant degree as proven in the most recent research I read (which ironically was a study done by feeding test subject canned foods). Do I run my life around avoiding all called foods. No, but if its a simple choice to avoid a canned product in by simply chosing to purchase it in different packaging, then that an easy decision for me to make.
Is the study eating one can of soup caused a 12 fold increase of the levels of BPA in the urine. The amounts are what's important. How much BPA does one need to consume for these supposed effects to occur.
