Many health and fitness experts are talking about the green tea extract weight loss benefits. Exactly how does green tea work to aid people slim down? What are scientific facts to back up the claim?

There are various reasons for increase in weight. But it comes down to two factors. First is the consumption of fat or food that is going to become fat. Second is the level of burning fat. Tea supports both.

Green tea extract contains amazing anti-oxidants known as catechins. Out of all the catechins, epigallocatechin gallate also known as EGCG is great for weight loss the best. EGCG helps bring thermogenesis which is the function of generating heat in human body. This action boosts metabolic rate which speeds up the process of burning fat. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, green tea raises metabolism by 4 percent.

Scientists in Japan had a human experiment regarding green tea extract weight loss benefits. There were 38 adult males participants. 50 percent of the group received green tea extract together with daily food intake and the other 50 percent were given just the daily food. After 3 months, participants with green tea extract diet plan had noticeable reduction in body weight and waist compared to the group of people without the extract.

Green tea additionally aids with controlling the quantity of intake of food. In a lab test, green tea extract was given to one group of mice and placebo was given to the other group. After one week, the group that was given green tea extracts loss desire for food and reduced their food consumption by 60 percent. Fewer calorie intakes resulted in weight reduction.

As reported by the scientists, the lost cravings were due to the control of blood sugar level. Green tea's antioxidants allow sugar to get into the bloodstream at a lower pace that reduces sudden surges in insulin. People having very high blood glucose level may feel more hungry and tired. Greater controlled sugar submission assists with preventing excessive fat storage and desire for food.

Last advice for anyone serious about trying green tea as a weight loss product is to always take green tea without any artificial additives. A lot of the iced tea products sold in a food store include artificial additives which include sugar. This defeats the objective of reducing weight. It is most beneficial to make own tea and perhaps only put natural citrus juice for example lemon juice to improve antioxidants. If brewing tea is a lot of work then, consider tea extract tablets. A lot of pills on the market are sugar-free and some include vitamins for more health rewards.

only problem with green tea is the fluoride count...

I still drink green tea, but its not as healthy as some people think thanks to its getting treated with fluoride, and for no apparent reason it seems... I think you can get some brands without the fluoride but you will pay more..

Ive never noticed any weightloss benefits (especially compared to ephedrine) but it does have enough health benefits to be included in the "staple" tier of supplements with vitamins and fish oil.

Although green tea extract is good for the body especially for its ability to neutralize free radicals in the body. Many individuals do not respond to the weightloss effects of green tea astonishingly like you may read in magazines and see on tv. But the minute few individual may experience some benefits such as enhancing a some sluggish thyroid function and improving immune system. With all the synthetic junk we put in our body not to forget the stimulants and caffiene from sodas and coffee, it is unmarkably known how greatly effective green tea can be.
