Electrolytes in BCAA supp + Dietary Sodium Q
I'm currently supplementing Scivation Xtend which has 1170mg electrolytes per scoop. I usually use 2 scoops for my workouts.. I also upped my sodium intake through my regular dietary intake to 3500 mg. I've been told that in order to prevent water retention from increased sodium intake, you should just consume more water.. I've been drinking what I consider a lot of water (1.5 gallons), however I only recently realized how much sodium the BCAA's add..When I cut back on the BCAA's and dietary sodium, I look much drier..I understand that sodium is required for sufficient muscle contractions, hydration etc. Would it be better to keep the 2 scoops of BCAA's for recovery purposes, and just cut from dietary intake?
