If you have ceoliac (sp?) Disease, yeah. Otherwise...not really.

It's drawbacks are probably over-rated imo assuming you don't have celiac as above poster said. Not to mention I think some people automatically think gluten free food=healthy food.

I don't consume a ton of carbs anyways as I do much better on a low carb diet but personally I haven't seen a lot of difference when actively taking out gluten. Then again I've always thought I had a good digestive system so who knows.

I agree. It get's a lot of hype but unless you have the disorder there really aren't many large drawbacks
