Bought a vitamin D3 supp tablets. 1,000 IU
Is this good enough or should I go and buy one with calcium? I was low in Vitamin D, but the doc said everything else was fine. I take Prilosac, which is why my vit d count may have been low. It does state it contains "Dicalcium Phosphate".
Vitamin D3 as Cholecalciferol

How low were your levels?
I was really deficient around 17 so my doc put me on 10,000 ius daily and I've been taking that for the last 6 months. I just get the 5,000 and dose it 2x daily. My doc also has me taking calcium citrate 600 mg a day and maybe 10-20 pumps of topical magnesium a day.

Unfortunately she didn't say. She just said it was low and put me on 50,000 IU of D2 to take weekly, but I don't have a refil. I see her next month.

D2 is garbage you need D3
Try to find out how low you really are. 60 is optimal level of D3. 1000 ius isn't gonna make a big impact on your levels

So what do you recommend I take than? I hope it's not too pricey and I can get it at rite-aid, since it's a block away. I am on SSI and in college, so I have a fixed income.

On my grind
I take 5,000IUs a day. But i also live in the south. Vit D is pretty darn cheap.
Like others have said ask how low you are and see if she will prescribe you D3.

It's super cheap I got a 120 ct bottle of 5000 iu for under 10 bucks and that lasts me 2 months. My doc also recommended I take calcium citrate and magnesium at the same time as those are 'prerequisites' for your body to utilize vitD, or something like that. Both of those are super cheap too. I got a bottle of swansons topical magnesium for like 5-10 bucks and that lasts me at least 2 months. And I got a 250 ct of calcium citrate for around 20$ and that lasts me about 4 months.
Best thing to do is check with your doc and find out what your levels are. If you're really deficient like me around 20 ng/dl I bet you could get away with taking 10,000 ius a day

Anyone have a site I can order them from, that would probably be the easiest thing to do. I found out my multi has 400IU of D3.
