Hey guys ive got a question realating to fat gain while bulking...

essentially, ive been aiming for approximatly 3000 calories per day for a bulk. From previous bulks i thought this would be ample. I weight approximatly (88-90 kg).

However, according to a calory calculator (which i just used) im eating 200 calories over maintenance. .....yet im getting a lot of gut fat. I know the essental answer is im eating more than i think, however i really try keep track of it quite closley and dont believe i do. Somedays ive been unlucky and busy and wouldnt be close to 3000. Are their any other possible reasons why. I aim fo my macros to be 184g carbs, 99g fat, 295g protien. I could just up my cardio.

Definitely play with the macros and more importantly the overall cals. You can't trust those calculators that much. It's a good place to start, but certainly doesn't take into consideration what your own metabolism is like - it's unique. That being said, if you're putting on substantial fat, then cut cals and reassess. Cardio will work, but the real solution is finding out what number of cals you need to be taking in. Playing with the macros and shifting carbs and fats around can help, too. You can have the macros you just listed but if you took all of those carbs in right before bed, the macros are still the same, but obviously that's not a good thing while trying to burn fat (not saying that's what you're doing, but making the example of how just numbers don't show everything).

Listen to your body, not a calculator.... As above, they give you a basic outline, but everyone is different. Tweak the macro's and you should find the fat gain slow down. And also re-assess when you have the carbs, timing is just as important.
