IF and powerlifting

Im just curious if anyone sees anything wrong with intermittent fasting and powerlifting? I want to compete and recently started dieting like this. If anyone thinks there is a better or more "optimal" dieting approach for this sport please let me know. I want all science based info on nutrient timing, and all things pertaining to being the strongest and leanest i can be. Thank you.
