    ranitidine

I was given these pills after telling the doctor I was getting heart burn, since than the heart burn has gotten worse and I think I might have a problem such as reflux. I was wondering if these pills since they have an effect on stomach acid if they have some kind of negative impact on protein absorption. I don't know what I'd do without the pills though the heart burn has gotten so bad the pills are the only thing that helps.

I think you should instead look for the actual underlying cause of what foods specifically are putting your stomach into an acidic state. And try and balance it out with more alkalinic foods such as spinach.

On another note, I believe you can buy that stuff OTC, seems like last time i was at sams club, they had both that and famotidine as OTC heart burn meds.
