Grass finished beef is awesome

  1. Grass finished beef is awesome

I just cooked and ate an awesome 10 oz grass finished london broil from whole foods. It was awesome.

According to multiple sites on the net it only has 320 cals, 61 g protein, 9 g fat. Awesome.

No question here, I just wanted to share.

  2. Yup, that stuff rocks but it's so dang expensive!

  3. The owner of whole foods is a vegan........strange

I suppose you don't have to get high on your own supply.

I believe the difference is grass fed are only fed grass whereas finished beef is also fed grains/corn and other stuff.

  6. well actually its quite the opposite. even grass fed cows are finished with corn. grass finished means they never eat corn.

    Yep.

Technically speaking, all beef are grass-fed at some point early in their lives. Grass-finished generally means that the cows were not only "started" on grass but finished on it as well.

local farmers. lots of local farms raise grass fed animals. buying becomes a pain in the ass though, you need to buy membership, come at specific hours, etc.
