What are some good sources of gluten free carbs?

What are some good sources of gluten free carbs?

Anything that doesn't contain wheat or wheat flour.

For example:
* Oatmeal
* Rice - brown, basmati
* Vegetables - potatoes, kumara, pumpkin, beans and lentils
* Couscous
* Chickpeas
* Fruit - bananas
* Nuts

This is just a few - a quick search on the internet will yield a lot more food options.

Couscous is made from wheat and therefore is not gluten free. Oats should be gluten free but often aren't due to manufacturing processes. You can get certified GF oats if you look hard enough.

Rice and quinoa are personal favourites.

Couscous is made from CHICKPEAS - not sure where you got that it is made from wheat.

Re oats, they shouldn't contain gluten - but as mentioned, they might, yes.

They have pretty big bags of quinoa at costco, and I think its pretty cheap but I can't remember the exact price.

I have looked at almost 10 websites and all say it is wheat based.
