    Constipation

to bring up a silly topic but I have chronic constipation and need advice on how to naturally take care of it, so far I have tried metamucil, gut health, some kind of probiotic, eating cereal with high fiber content. Nothing seems to work for me. I want to stay away from laxatives since they seem like a short term and not so safe solution.

Try drinking grapefruit juice or eat a grapefruit everyday. It will definitely make your bowel movement more regular. Also, try adding more veggies and less meat to your diet and drink more water. It will help fight off constipation.

If nothing is working for you then try magnesium oxide capsules. Take enough capsules so you get the "flushing" effect. If you don't want to do that then take 1 or 2 capsules of cascara sagrada at dinner time.
