    Fried and Microwave.

I heard something today from a guy who I'd say generally has been a good source for me.

Though it is rare and not really in my diet, I occasionally splurge and grab some chicken fingers (fried ones). He told me that frying, as well as microwaving stuff changes the chemical compound of the food and that's very bad for you.

Though I'd miss the occasional chicken fingers, I could deal, but no microwave? He made it send like the end of the world if you used a microwave, is this true?

cooking with oil in a pan is known as shallow frying.

I use a BBQ (for grilling and oven cooking) wok, steamer, slow cooker for all my food.

Apart from toast, which I use a toaster

i dont think the method of cooking is the issue , its what happens to foods especially meats that are cooked at high temperatures

some countries (Japan, Spain, and Iceland to name a few) are looking at banning microwave ovens.

Before you dump your microwave, know that some companies are doing the right thing by recalling their units and offering refunds when the unit is sent back with proof of purchase.

check that the study wasnt funded by the bottled water company .

Frying food is the worse thing you can do to food when you consider the other alternatives, steaming , grilling, pressure cooking, boiling which are more healthier

i microwave very little ie breakfast- porridge, eggs, tomatoes mushrooms.

my other main meals are grilled or steamed or a combination of both.

i think if we were to get paranoid about the effects of everything we do , use of mobile phones too close to the brain and likely damage, living near electricity pylons can cause cancer, just to name some others. then we d all end up nervous wrecks.

im sure when the troops get served up a microwaved meal at their base in Iraq or Afghanistan , rectal cancer is furthest from their mind.

I have to microwave at least two time a day. If I had a any other methods of heating my food at work I would use those methods.
