question about protien and metabolism

I am starting a low carb diet. I am trying to eat about two ounces of protien every hour throughout the day to keep my metabolism up. I can bearly get throught the day I just cannot eat that much food. Would a low carb protien shake made with water keep my metabolism up? I figure protien is protien but I am not sure and do not want to sabotage myself...
 
if you go for a shake on a keto, do a WHEY ISOLATE ONLY 0 carb 0 fat,

and that can replace your meat, if you cannot eat anymore.
