| :harbl: | personally I'd just quit cold turkey. The withdrawal symptoms with caffeine aren't anything advil can't take care of. | Gold Member | Maybe some Reset AD would help? It would at least alleviate the adrenal burnout you most likely have from overconsumption of caffeine. |

| Doing the impossible... | Have you tried very low doses of caffeine? Quote:
Maybe you could try dosing 25-50mg of caffeine per day for a week or two, and cut back further from there? Start by first doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 0 or greater. | I Know Nothing!! Board Moderator | Caffiene has rated close to heroin in terms of debilitating withdrawal symptoms . Taper off slowly is my advice. I AM watching you. Pirate, Poet, King of Despair. |

| Registered User | get the caffeine pills in the store, and slowly lower the dose, cut the pills in 1/2, etc. one cup of coffe has 80mg of caffeine. you might try 4 cups one day, then 3 1/2, etc until you get down to 1/2 a cup. i agree with rugger though - that kind of withdrawal (2-3 weeks) and you are taking in WAY more caffeine than you think - either through coffee, tea, supps, or soda. my withdrawal lasted 4 1/2 weeks, and i was on 80 cups of coffee a day for just over a decade. I don't have an attitude problem. YOU have a perception problem... |

| Registered User | you must get your coffee from a different source than I. same rules apply though. take 2 cups for a week, then 1 1/2 cups for a week, etc. wean yourself off. cold turkey was a nightmare for me. sweating every day for just over a month with the AC stuck at 68 degrees - my body couldn't figure out how to process water intake. nasty stuff.
