Poseidon gone bad?

I haven't used my Poseidon for about 2 1/2 weeks. I opened it up today and it had this brown texture. I took a picture and would be willing to post this, or PM/email the picture.

Thoughts?
 
just moisture got in...no worries, its still gonna give ya the same sick results!! mine did that too....still good

Yep it is still good. As john said it is just some moisture getting in. It will still work just fine.

The guys are right, my acutally has this right now. The moisture tends to cause the clumping and the change in appearance. No worries at all cerebrus, the product is fine and just as effective.
 
Happened with my neurobalance all the time too, just makes it harder to measure/mix really, no big deal :)

Can't wait to get my poseidon though, should be here next week :)
 
Sure won't. When the moisture gets into Poseidon it results in what Cerberus described. Just some tiny brown speck change in the texture. Still easy breezy to scoop out and measure though. No clumping at all.

Yeap, my first tub had this, but I noticed my new Poseidon being more 'powdery' now with a new tube and label.
 
Mine went bad too... Very bad.

I guess you guys answered my question to Nutra from last night already. It did smell REALLY bad and I'm having a hard time buying the idea that it would've still been safe to even consume. That old jar is still sitting on my kitchen counter but I don't think anybody could convince me to drink that stuff at this point. Free to a good home.

Might want to consider capping it if you sell in bulk qualities so this doesn't happen to others.

The browning is a common occurence of water absorption in the product. The smell is something new that I've never heard about before. Kinda odd considering that theres nothing in the product that would be suspected of spoiling. Could you describe what it smelt like Blesum?
 
I just noticed mine did this. I didn't notice a smell but then again I didn't sniff it. I just put two scoops in a blender and two teaspoons of beta-alanine powder and mix it. It still works good pre cardio!.

As stated, the turning of color is perfectly normal...I've NEVER heard of anyone mentioning a bad smell though. I found a jar of Poseidon in an old gym bag that was 3/4 of the way gone about a week ago. It changed color, but smells fine. This thing sat in my trunk, in the Florida heat, for about 2 months too! (Guess I should clean my trunk more often, lol!) ;)

Could you have possibly mixed something else into it? Any other moisture other than water?

Didn't mix anything into it. I guess I'll go and take another sniff but I'm not looking forward to it...

Whoops, it's not on my counter anymore. It got tossed out with Tuesday's trash after all.

It smelled like a rotting flower - a sickly, overpowering sweet smell. At least that's how I remember it. I would hold my breath every time I opened it towards the end and I don't have a sensitive nose.

Have no clue what the smell could have been blesum. I've had a couple of bottles of Poseidon get alot of moisture content in them, but have never gotten a smell like that. Haven't gotten any smell at all from it really.

A rotting flower smell.... maybe you accidentally spilled something else into the bottle man. That's the only thing I could think of that would really cause a change in smell:think:

Sounds like you may have mixed some kind of flavoring in with it at some point. This would be common (weird smell) with some combination of artificial flavoring systems if exposed to moisture and/or heat for a long period of time. In fact, that's exactly what it would smell like...a sweet, rotting flower.

As is, Poseidon is free of ANYTHING artificial and has NO added flavoring. I think you may have let some slip in indirectly when mixing Poseidon early on. That would make perfect sense given the smell your describing.

Each of my container has it's own dedicated spoon or scooper. I only began using a flavoring compound last week, well after I stopped using that first container of Poseidon so that wouldn't have been the case.

Either something else happened with it, or a disgruntled ex pissed in it.

Hmmm. My Poseidon has no smell. I even tried to eat it, because of the orderless candy looking powder...

Maybe some of your buddies had some sort of hijinx and tea bagged your Poseidon tube????

Blesum, all in all sounds like something probably found it's way into the bottle my man.

Makes sense, vitamin C for the citrus flavoring and sodium for the salt. Vitamins and minerals....mmm,mmm, good.
 
yeah mine has a slight smell to it.not a bad smell....just an aroma you could say..haha..i was p*ssed I tried to grab the phone and spilled like half a tub on my counter. Of course swept it all back in the container, wasnt letting that beutiful stuff go to waste, but now its all kinda grainy due to a lil moisture....awww well....still works..lol
