Hey guys,
just got my Performance pudding in yesterday from Nutraplanet! There was a little mix up and they sent me INSTONE pudding in the first shipment......YUCK! that stuff is terrible! But man oh man! I got hte chocolate pudding form Nimbus and mixed up 2 servings then put it in the freezer to chill for awhile!

This stuff is GOOD! Not sure i would eat it ALL the time, but it is a nice break from downing shakes all the time and a welcome snack!

Taste? best i can describe it is like eating chocolate cake batter! and who doesn't like to eat chocolate cake batter! I mixed it according to directions with water, i am gonna mix it with milk next to see the difference and add a few more calories and grams of protein!

Ya'll got a big  for Performance Pudding from Macedaddy!

Yeah, they did a good job on the pudding. My only complaint is the slight bitterness from the Micellar. I have a sweet tooth that will not compromise, so I add a packet of sweetner to each serving and it helps. I think I'll dissolve some palatinose in the water for the mix or maybe try using skim milk and see how it goes. All in all, great product.

Loving the Posiedon by the way.

I just ate a serving (or two) of the vanilla and it's good. Tastes like cake batter more than pudding to me but that's cool. Def will fill you up for awhile. Not overly sweet and no soy!

Great to hear! Let me know what you think of it in milk. I love it in water...but in skim milk, AMAZING! It also creates a better consistency in skim milk...YUM!

OK, now you have me mixing some up ;-)

Thanks Serpentstrike! Glad your enjoying the pudding! I think you will like the addition of skim milk as I stated above...its excellent.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on Poseidon as well...

I actually like the Instone chocolate pudding better, but the Nimbus chocolate pudding is good too. I just made some with Calorie Countdown chocolate "milk" and it turned out really good.

And it's very filling.

Really? I'm a bit shocked to hear that but certainly do understand everyone has their own opinion. I forgive you...LOL! :)

Your right, Performance Pudding turns out great in milk...I use the Calorie Countdown Vanilla...Excellent!

Now, if your going to award the taste to Instone...and I still am a bit shocked about that...you have to concede the Performance Pudding is...SECOND TO NONE...nutritionally speaking ;-)

I agree, nutritionally speaking it's the clear winner.

I wasn't knocking it, it's good stuff. I'll buy it again. I think I just preferred the consistency of the canned Instone pudding.

Your a Rocky fan aren't you.:D

It's all good as everybody's taste buds are different, but if Rocky was in training mode for Apollo round 3 and he had to pick a pudding...... he'd pick Perfomance Pudding.:)

No offense taken my friend :)

That's why we have this board, so people can give completely honest, UNBIASED opinions...I thank you for your contribution and honesty

I tried it in plain Calorie Countdown dairy beverage, it works really well too. The 2% adds a little fat, but I think it improves the texture and taste a bit.

And yeah, Rocky would choose Nimbus. Hehe.

Glad you liked it with the 2%. The increased fat content of the 2% will always add a little extra texture, and palitability. Seems like your a texture and viscosity type man, the thicker the better.... I'm like that to.

I had my sample packet with 1 Tablespoon of Natty PB and a splash of milk for mixability and holy crap was it good. Kept me full for several hours and I have never tasted something so good that didn't deviate from a cutting plan.

That does sound good doesn't it. Hey Rodja, what do you consider as a "splash of milk"? I might want to mimick your little recipe sometime.

I'm guessing about 3 ounces per serving...but with the PB addition, perhaps its more.

Mmmm, pudding and peanut butter. Just like Reese's pb cups except it's good for you. Any chance there could be some some flavor updates(hint, hint).

Right now we are concentrating on getting Performance Pudding Nite-Time done...we hit a few road blocks but we ironed them out and are moving ahead rapidly now :head:

Once we finish with the Nite-Time formula, we will begin to look into other flavors for Performance Pudding and Performance Pudding Nite-Time...I think a Peanut Butter Cup version will be top priority after my little scientific experiment last night :D

Here's some competition Mace! I just came up with this today...

For Chocolate and Peanut Butter lovers, nothing beats this:

1 serving Chocolate Performance Pudding
1/2 cup low fat Cottage cheese
3 oz cold water
1 tablespoon of Natural Peanut Butter
1 packet splenda

Mix throughly and let sit in the freezer for about 5-10 mins...

Try adding some coconut milk to your chocolate pudding. Not for every diet plan but it's good fat and really makes the pudding creamy. I used about 1.5 oz in 3 servings of pudding. Good stuff.

Well theres a novel idea, never would of thought of that. We have a regular Chef-Boy-R-Blutarski lurking around on AM.:)

This sounds like an awesome idea. Same for the night-time version.

I think I'm gonna combine a serving of Cookies and Cream muscle milk with a serving of this choc. performance pudding. Should be muscle building goodness.

Gotta get some of this stuff first. An order from NP seems to be in Jmh80's future...

Tried some today actually. Wasn't thrilled with the taste to be honest.

But I have a work around. I have tons of Jello Sugar Free pudding so I figure I'll mix the two and that should take care of everything.

Thanks for your feedback Giantz11. I'm actually very surprised to hear that but appreciate your honesty. What was it you didn't like about the taste? To sweet, not sweet enough, etc...We are always looking for ways to improve our products so fire away

There is just a strange kinda metallic taste. Not sure, someone mentioned it might be the casein. I combined it with Jello Pudding last night and it was all good. I see that there were some recipes posted so I'll try a few of those for sure.

I see the you are using Micellar Casein. Perhaps in the future you could change that to Milk Protein Isolate which I have heard has little to no flavor....that is assuming that the casein is responsible for the strange taste.

I'll update you as I try some of the recipes.

BTW, love Poseidon! Never ever experienced a Niacin Flush before, so that was kinda cool! Great mixed with Crystal Light.:head:

Ineresting...I have not heard this reported by anyone else yet. Keep me informed. I would be happy to refund your money, or send you out a different flavor to try....and yes, we do have a Performance Pudding recipe page: :)

I finally got to try out my Vanilla Performance Pudding today and now I love that stuff! I had tried the Chocolate flavor previously and found it to be a little too sweet(I know, I must be nuts), but the Vanilla flavor is perfect to me! Workin, you guys really have something good going on here! Keep it up! :clap2:

Next up on the agenda: test out the Poseidon that's been sitting here taunting me before my first real workout back to the offseason tomorrow morning. Leg day, here I come!
:squat:

Thanks for the review man, glad you liked the Performance Pudding.... it's some good tasting stuff for sure. Especially if you have a sweet tooth like myself. Look forward to your results with Poseidon when you start it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it rpen22! Thanks for the kind words. :)

I personally like the vanilla better myself as well, but switch to chocolate for variety every now and then...Lately I've been craving Chocolate Performance Pudding with a bit of Natural PB. ;)

Thanks for posting your thoughts! I look forward to hearing what you think about Poseidon...but be warned, it's addicting! lol! :woohoo:
