Spot the Juicer!!!

  1. Spot the Juicer!!!

Spot the Juicer - Diet & Fitness - MSN Health & Fitness

The the media... To the article...

  2. I'd like to see what the twat that wrote that looks like. And no steroids don't cause hyperplasia! GH and IGF-1 one do! Those mens health guys are just jealous because they are skinny little *****es who's only claim to fame is their much coveted "six pack".

  3. MSN consistently has the worst articles. What makes me angry about these editorials is uneducated doctors or physician's assitants will read these and think they are gospel. Everytime I go in for a visit the doc or nurse will ask me if im doing anabolic steroids. (I have never done any, and dont intend to for a few years). If i did I certainly wouldn't be dumb enough to tell them and get kicked off my insurance. "Yeah! I'm totally on Dianabol and Testosterone Enthanate!" how dumb do they think i am?

And they point to my traps and stretch marks on my pecs as evidence (note article). I weighed a weak 130 before I started lifting, and now I'm 190 with the same bf% or less at 5'7". Obviously that would explain stretch marks. Its really aggravating, because i cant even discuss a legit medical problem without that question.

  4. LoL, that was funny. I like the stretch marks comment, I have stretch marks all over from when I was a kid. I guess my Mom musta been puttin roids in my Wheaties!
I also noticed that juicers get stronger BP's but other lifts like squats don't really increase
What an idiot! Thanks for the early morning pick-up though!

  5. I prefer blueberry juice myself.

Yes - I'm a serial juicer. Bananas, apples, grapes, blueberries.
    Lock me the f*ck up!

And, no - I won't give my source!!!

  6. I also noticed that juicers get stronger BP's but other lifts like squats don't really increase
Probably because the only exercises the guy who wrote the article does are bench presses and curls...

  7. Hahaha it is really funny you found that. I read that in Men's Health about 4 years ago when I was a freshman in college. Soooo funny.

actually, a study was done on long term steroid using powerlifters v. natural powerlifters and the results supported the occurance hyperplasia over a long period of time.

I'm glad I have that article...now I know FOR SURE why the guys who look better than me look they way they do.

  9. REALLY!? That's awesome.

  10. Damn, the articles is that old? I guess sending the letter to the editor was a bit of a oops then

  11. I had a subscription to Men's Health when that came out. It was part of a much longer article. The next month, there was a letter to the editor complaining about the positive depiction of steroids. The editor's response was "We just told it like it is."

The article as a whole was not especially critical about health hazards, even mentioning Arnold's robust health (heart surgery was attributed to congenital defect). The only thing that the article was really lacking was any discussion of countermeasures to combat sides. If I had never read that article I would not be on this site right now.

  12. Waldo goes wild!!!

-I thought it was just the freak in me!

  13. The misinformation is rampant these days, so many other problems to address in the world like killing terrorists, reducing the cost of housing in certain parts of the country, illegal immigrant invasion, Iran, No. Korea, retarted politicians, but NO lets focus on the juice so no one else can focus on the other problems facing the country.

  14. "Yo, that guy is vascular, and hes got big shoulders & stretch marks! He must be juicin!"

Where are all the articles about spotting fake boobs

  15. "Yo, that guy is vascular, and hes got big shoulders & stretch marks! He must be juicin!"

Dont forget the red skin...anyone with a sunburn could be a suspect juicer so be careful, for the children's sake be careful!!

  16. Lats: Lifters can increase muscle mass by up to 25 percent with 10 weeks of steroid use, so stretch marks on biceps and pectorals are common.
This doesn't even have anything to do with lats.

The whole article has little or nothing to do with reality either...

  18. Funniest thing I have ever read. Period.

  19. OH DAMMIT I thought it was gonna be a real spot the juicer like where they have spot the pitbull and 20 pictures of dogs and only one a real pitbull all the others are mastiff's mixes etc.

  20. Can you guys spot the Juicer?

Dude you are the S*** ! Im so glad Im not the only one that feels that way.

  22. I think I gave Men's Health too much credit. Check this out: Muscle Building

  23. I found that article I was talking about that was not especially critical. I just skimmed the first 2 pages, but here are some key quotes that reveal an atypical media attitude toward AAS.

"In moderate dosages over the short term, can they be used safely?" asks Charles Yesalis, Sc.D., a Penn State professor of health policy and sports science, and author of The Steroids Game. "Probably, yes. The truth of the matter is that the majority of these performance-enhancing drugs have been cleared for medical use. So, clearly, they can be used safely."

That's not to say the long-term health concerns are false--it just means that no one has bothered to find out whether they're true. Meanwhile, Arnold still strolls the Earth with a stogie in his hand and a smile on his face, a larger-than-life argument for steroids that no government agency has yet come up with the goods to refute.
Here is the complete article: http://www.menshealth.com/cda/articl...3cd____&page=1

  24. that is why i feel bad for accopmlished naturals, if they are big and ripped ''assume'' that they are on, yep they are good indicators that mr needle has been introduces to mr buttocks.......the writer is a ****ing ass.

I also enjoyed that he stressed over shoulders and chest and of course BENCH PRESS strength....

  25. Sounds like the author got sand kicked in his face at the beach when he was a kid. Has hated meatheads ever since.

I'm very shocked that Bryan Haycok actually reviewed that article. I thought he was much smarter then that

  29. It's obviously the one on the bottom, the rounded shaped objects are a sure sign that they are a type of fruit.
