Theodore tests positive, blames result on Propecia

Yup this guy REALLY needs propecia, and he swears he's not using it as a masking agent! :icon_lol:

I dont care if he's full of **** or not. I'm getting a little sick of seeing these reports of things that could possibly mask or lead to a performance enhancer but no proof.

I'm not defending the guy but come on! You either test positive or you don't. Enough of this speculation. If you ask me there should never be a story published about these athletes unless there is 100% proof and prosecution. If this guy is innocent no matter what he will always have a taint on his career because of this.

yeah i agree satchmo. how did he not know propecia was illegal? maybe he has always been taking it as a cover up for all we know.

AFAIK, Propecia wasn't illegal in the NHL before 2006. The reason for this test was the olympics.

His dad is bald since his mid-'20s. That's a pretty good reason right there to get a script for the stuff, as it only works to KEEP the hair you have. He's kept it. ;)

The masking agent he was tested for can be bypass by some other test and Theo didn't take roids.

The whole story about it is full of ****, not him

oh.. "keep" hair. How disappointing. I better cancel that order.

I wonder why this story was released right after the betting scandal. The olympic committee knew about this at least a month back.

Well it might have marginal effect on a light-haired head, but AFAIK using it when you're already bald won't do much of anything.

I agree with you that the story is crap, and I don't believe he used it as a masking agent. He did have a legitimate script. He needed to bring this issue up prior to being tested or when he first started pursuing the Olympics.

We have to remember that ignorance is no excuse. I don't buy the "I just found out in October" line. No one planning to play in the Olympics starts thinking about it 3 or 4 months before the games. Propecia's been banned for 2 years by WADA. Heck, certain levels of caffeine & OTC cough medicines are banned. He should have been more responsible. I'm not an Olympic competitor, and I know how to find out what's allowed: Invalid Link Removed (See attached PDF file in the post)

idk i kind of think he is full off ****? he has enough hair for 2 people
