SSssshhhhhh! The jury isn't out on global warming anymore. It's no longer a theory. It's a scientific fact. Life as we know it will cease to exist if all of us in the industrialized world don't slow down our economies and invest our capital in developing countries so they can catch up. Isn't it interesting how all of the solutions proposed for global warming seem to involve putting the breaks on the developed nations and spreading our wealth into the developing world.
GW is not a scientific fact or theory. It's a socialist crusade. Look at Gorbachev with his International Green Cross foundation Invalid Link Removed. Once imposing communism through military force failed, the communists just found a new theatre in which to battle capitalism and it's global warming. They are fully aware that if people knew what they were selling, no one would be buying. So, they're selling it to us under the guise of protecting the earth.

The logical leap from CO2 emissions to climate change has always been a bit ridiculous. If the current "climate crisis" were anthropogenic, based on the so-called "greenhouse effect", we would expect to see a causative, or at least correlative, relationship between high carbon-producing fuel consumption [petroleum-based fuels] and climate change; however, this is simply not the case. Why is it not the case, though? Because carbon dioxide comprises ~0.050% of the earth's atmosphere, and even an alteration in the level of CO2 to the tune of megatons would have little impact on atmospheric conditions. Now, if oxygen or nitrogen levels precipitously increased due to human intervention, a case for anthropogenic climate change could be made [see: "snowball earth"]. Unfortunately, however, this issue will never die because the link between "social equity" and "climate change" is too easily made, and too easily received by the general public.

We have no capital left. We are bankrupt. Shutting down, or saddling the economy any more with ridiculous legislation or regulation will pretty much destroy any chance of recovery.
Strange, I avoid Wally World like the Swine Flu, but they are the only ones that carry a certain coffee grinder that we use for Java Lather. I realized that THIS was the goal of the liberal agenda - to turn us all into WalMart customers, saddled, depressed, slovenly, completely dependent, and working HARD just to barely stay above water.

Holy sh!t. He's a Canadian!!!! Something's wrong with this picture. All of their icebergs are melting as we speak and the polar bears are being driven to extinction by the big greedy corporations spewing out CO2. How can a Canadian not support such great humanitarian policies like Cap & Tax???

The funniest part is that the group most actively trying to "combat" climate change are politicians, sociologists, philosophers, labor theorists, political scientists, and all their ilk and professors thereof - really, every genre of theorists aside from the group

"You mean there is almost a complete consensus that global climate change has not linearly or even marginally followed global carbon output? Well, fuck it: my constituents saw an emotional picture of a polar bear on a piece of ice, and are easily convinced by argumentums ad misericordiums. It's time to regulate carbon willy-nilly, and alert the eco-crusaders!"

Goldman Sach's will make billions on cap & trade. They also were a huge contributor to the Obama campaign. Al Gore's company will make a fortune as well. His net worth has now topped $100MM with his GW crusade and promotion of cap & tax.

It is the utility companies, manufacturing industry, and other companies who by the nature of their business are going to produce more CO2. The costs will of course be passed along to us. That is, until these business relocate to China, India, & Mexico, who have already given the one finger salute to the cap and tax idea.

Most lefties and all greenies are already brainwashed into believing any claim of climate change, no matter how ludicrous, and to ignore any and all possible conflicts of interest in their side while simultaneously smearing any skeptics as shills of "Big Oil" if they've ever so much as gassed up at an ExxonMobile station.

General Electric stands to profit handsomely as well with cap and tax and global warming. The CEO of GE is so far up Obam's can he only sees brown and green. Green from all the money is going to make. Who is dveloping the "smart grid" technology to help you track your energy consumption? GE. Who is making solar panels? GE. Who is making wind turbines? GE.

This is certainly the fact, been seeing that for awhile. Do not forget that Mr. Gore has a ton of stock in GE, and seeing it skyrocket would pad him nicely... hence the push. I do not even want to touch the pickens plan... it all comes back to the dollar.
Now we have universal healthcare being lobbyed by Siemens... and why you ask? There is a provision in the UHC that states each citizens medical records will be held electronically, and who already has the most robust medical network setup? thats right... Siemens.
All comes back to the dollar... nothing here is being done for the betterment of the US, or our childrens future. In fact it is completely raping our childrens piggy banks for Millenia's.

I have been thinking quite a bit about all these issues lately - culminating with the same thoughts...
The South (and mind you, indirectly the entirety of the early US) produced extremely wealthy individuals using one repugnant institution - slavery. Forced labor with a minimum of cost is the scumbag's wet dream. Since outright slavery was overthrown, the desire to return thhe institution to practice, disguised under layer and layer of subtlety is the goal.
Whether done in the name of safety, terrorism, social equality, corporate welfare, or whatever, the dream of some is a modern equivalent of a Corporate Plantation culture - a few solidly powerful institution, backed by corrupt government, that controls all aspects of life (I owe my soul to the company store) leaving NO option but to walk the grind or die.
