    Hi guys, I'm Tom, 19 years old and been lifting for 2 weeks now but I feel that my bf% is quite high although I have always been strong for my age. I was wondering at what point should I start cutting? Should I try and bulk right out first or cut now and bulk again? It's a bad picture so I can re-do if needed. I'm 6"1 and 172lbs but not sure of bf%. I just need some guidance to get started. I haven't used any supplements or protein shakes etc yet but I'm looking to start! Any help would be much appreciated!

  4. This might be a better quality. I've always wondered about gyno because my nipples have always been weird since I was around 12 or 13 :S

  8. looks like pubertal gyno, which is a lot more common than you probly think. its purely cosmetic though, it wont effect your workouts or strength or anything. if it is gyno, then youd need surgery to remove it.

    with that said though, its tough gauge your bf in those pics. you could just be one of those guys that stores fat in your chest. if you have heal insurance, you should go ask a doctor to look at it

    were you fat when you were younger?

  9. Thanks bro I value your opinion. To be honest it's been on my mind for a while and was gonna get it checked out. The only thing that stopped me from getting it checked was one of the threads on here about how to tell if you've got it. If I lie flat on my back and press my nipples inwards they meet but on the thread here is says gyno makes them really hard and rubbery to push together which confused me :S to be honest I've always been conscious of it and it's stopped me from taking sports at school but I'm sick of it. I thought maybe working on my chest might "fill out" the fat/tissue. I'm really grateful for any help/advice I get though because I'm only starting to learn about bodybuilding.

  10. those gyno rules/tests dont really apply to long term gyno. if thats what you have, itll long be hardened by now. you might be able to feel a sort of rock behind your nipples if you have it. if you used to be a chubby kid, it could also just be loose skin from losing weight

  11. Well to be honest I used to weight 18 stones and my heart was under a lot of strain, but I lost 7 stones and later another 1 stone so I basically went down to 10 stone. When I was fat i was really strong and was able to lift the front of my dads car clean off the ground but I decided I didn't want to be fat anymore so for the last 3 years I've basically lost 8 stone in total along with all the muscle and strength I had, which is the reason I want to build my strength again but I don't know if it's left me with flab from fat or gyno :/

  12. I've always been the last one to be picked for sports lol
