I landed the gig for a show in April and May.

Probably signing Shonie Carter and Sherman Pendergarst next week for the May show. I'd like to have Shonie fight Keith Wisniewski... but I don't know if hes hung it up or not.

If I lived anywhere near there I would definitely go to those events. I know Jas lives up there, he should check it out. Carter/Wisniewski would be a nice fight. I think Keith has been on a losing streak lately, but he always puts up a tough fight. I remember Aoki breaking his arm standing up, ooooh that looked like it hurt. Pendergarst/Eilers?

Keith got ripped off against Carlo Prater and Jason Black. I announce the Black/Keith fight... he won all three rounds. Monte walked to the promoter, whispered, they handed me a piece of paper that said "Decision Black"

I almost puked on the spot.

Is political jostling like that as rampant in the smaller promotions in MMA as it is in boxing?

Depends on who you are dealing with. The promoters for that show were crooked as all hell. I watched them do that to people for a year, then I got pissed after one show and quit working for them. they wound up getting a lot of bad press and ceased to exist.

The judges are usually where the problems lie.

I haven't seen Prater fight since Claudinor Fontinelle, in Meca. Do you think Prater is a threat to Carlos Condit?

I thought Eilers stock had dropped considerably. I guess he's still too big a name for that event.

He still gets 20k a fight and people know him. Hell he fought Buentello, AA, then Vera in a row.

Prater actually beat Condit once perviously. I personally think the same outcome will happen. Kinda like Chuck/Rampage or Silva/Franklin. Just the guy that has your card.

I forgot that Prater had already beaten Condit, now I remember hearing it on some Versus show. That was a long time ago though. I'm really looking forward to Razor Rob against Jamie Varner. Varner is an animal, I see him overwhelming Rob.

Varner is tough... but Rob isn't as good as people say he is. There are quite a few guys at his class I would pick to beat him.

Yeah, it's funny how the guys in the WEC think that they're on par with UFC fighters. Their are about 15 LW's in the UFC that would beat Razor Rob, IMO. Condit has said that he's one of if not the best WW in the world, haha.
