I'm assuming that means you know Micah too, no? Has he left the WEC? I noticed he recently fought in another organization.

What do you guys think about the Burkman/Swick fight?

Micah and the WEC are in negotiations again. His contract was 3 fight with a if you lose we can let you go clause. He lost and was released.

His most recent fight was in premier x-treme against Steve Kinnison and Micah won a unan decision.

Burkman/Swick will be a boring Burkman on top of Swick event. Burkman's wrestling is going to own Mike.

I'd like to see more of Micah in the WEC, but that's just me. Thanks for the update.

I didn't think about the Burkman/Swick fight that way, but from your POV it will be a repeat of the Okami/Swick fight, no? Does anybody know what weight class this fight will be? I thought Swick was a MW (and lean at 185) and Burkman was a WW.

Swick moved to WW after his loss to Okami.

But stylistically... this is the same fight, except that Burkman can/will finish when in sidemount.

It's 170. Swick was a smaller MW and dropping down is probably a good idea for him.

Damn, I didn't realize Swick had that much room to cut.

That is small, especially compared to guys like Franklin.

Your diet/cut time to hit 55.

Closer to 6. I start training for a fight about 10 weeks out and I lose a lot just form increased activity and cutting out crappy kcals. I don't eat too below maintenance because I don't want my training to suffer.

That makes sense. Just think 6 weeks would be tough. I'm impressed you can do it that easily.

Rich Clementi makes a similar cut.
