White made some interesting comments regarding future fights.

If Penn stays at 155 he will fight Sherk in November.
In October Rich Franklin will fight Anderson Silva (and get killed again) in Cincy.
Rashad and Tito will fight again in the near future.
If CC beats Kongo, he will fight Big Nog next!!!!!!

Thanks for that. Penn/Sherk should be amazing. I think Penn will finish him within the first 2 rounds. I'm sure Rich will put forth a better performance than last time, but like you say, end up getting killed again. I'll probably take a nap during the PPV next time Tito and Rashad fight. I mean it wasn't a horrible fight, but I don't really care to see it again. I'll take Crocop in the re-match with Nog.

A potential Nog-CC? Is this really the UFC that's been giving us subpar cards for so long?

Sherk-Penn is interesting. I think Sherk has a better chance against Penn than Hughes has against Penn for some reason.

I don't want to see Tito-Rashad for a long time. One of the Sherdog writers said that maybe Tito should make a run at the 205 belt in the WEC if the Fertitas really want to build up the WEC. It's an interesting idea.

Sherk-Penn, Sherk owns. After his last fight i think he realizes muscle isn't everything so he may trian ground a bit more even though hes already a beast.

Sherk-Hughes would be intersteaing, both obviously very strong ground game.

Evans-Tito for sure needs to happen again, maybe 2 more times.

Silva-Franklin - Franklin fan but Silva is so freakin good. I was dissapointed in franklin last performance also.

My .02 cents

Sherk repeatedly shooting into Franca's knees is hopefully, a wakeup call to his camp, he has to learn to be less linear at times, be less predictable and take some additional risk to close more effectively. Unfortunately, that's not what got him there and I believe, contrary to his nature, but hopefully so, he needs new partners with a different style to compliment all the else he's doing so well.

He'll give anyone a helluva of a fight, but if he can't close, all it will take is one moderate or severe mistake for a fighter of the caliber of a Penn to close him out on.

Please explain the first paragraph? Sherk/Hughes happened about 4-5 years ago. Sherk aint coming back up, and no way Hughes is going down.

another interesting thing here, that I mentioned in the other thread, is that Shogun's first opponent per Dana White is one of the following two:
Forrest Griffin
Ryoto Machida

Watch out now - There's a new Sheriff in Town - If he smells even a hint of Sherdoggery, Alex is on the suspect's case. :numbered:

Can I be deputized? I can work Vice.

Oh crap i wasn't thinking. I was more thinking about them fighting period.
Yeah, I didn't mean to be a ****. I was actually more confused with the first paragraph about, I guess, Sherk learning it wasn't all about muscle and training more ground.

Penn is too fast and talented for Sherk. He also has much better technical stand-up than Franca and better TD defense. I am surprised to see a Nog-CC fight this soon.

I would rather see Diego/Penn than Sherk/Penn. Diego's ground game would make it a great matchup. Sherk cant hang with Penn's Jui Jitsu or striking. But who knows, Hermes has good striking and Jui Jitsu. Its smart if Penn stays in 155 because Sherk is his only real competitor unless Pride guys likd Gomi start fighting in the UFC. At 170 he has Hughes, GSP, Karo, Diego, Kos and more.
