Wanderlei is supposedly fighting Rogerio Nogueira for MW Title.
I bet Gomi goes against Ishida.
CroCop will not fight Fedor on NYE.
I just don't see Barnett fighting again on this card. Nogueira wants a rematch though.

I actually heard a rumor that Yoshida might be thrown in against Fedor. Barnett needs some time off IMO. I'd like to see CC-Fedor at their best so if CC's not close to 100% then they should delay it.

Henderson-Misaki III should happen and I'd like to see Kang-Filho eventually. Then the winners fight to sort out this WW mess in Pride.

Wandy-Nog should definitely happen. Arona doesn't get his shot again yet IMO (but a third fight should happen eventually).

I am not really interested in a wandy/nog fight. I don't think it would be very exciting. Yoshida/Fedor would be a one sided bloodbath, Yoshida's style plays RIGHT into Fedor's. I think Mirko's improved ground game at this point would make the crocop/fedor rematch a lot more interesting, though I still have fedor for the win. As for Barnett, fedor would take him apart on his feet, if barnett got into Fedor's guard he might be able to work it (if anyone can) but overall I don't see that being an issue.

At this point, only Mirko has a decent shot against Fedor. The right matchup for a fedor loss is a really powerful, aggressive bjj fighter with solid leg kicks, GnP and submission skills. Sort of like a bigger Arona, with better GnP and leg kicks.

I highly doubt Nastula will be on this card. I don't think the suspension has been set yet, but if Pride wants to continue to be sanctioned by the NSAC they need to continue to honor disciplinary action vs. Nastula. It's a damn shame, b/c Nastula was a great addition to the HW division.

This should be a great event. Tons of good potential matchups. I hope it isn't Shogun vs. Fedor. Shogun needs to stay at LHW. I think Wandy needs to fight and lose to Arona or Lil' Nog, so that Shogun can take the title from them. My coach thinks Shogun is better than Wandy, and if we use their fights against Arona as a guide, this should clearly be true.

I kind of want Shogun to fight Fedor, then Shogun will know for sure that he should stay at 205. I'd like to see Wand/Lil Nog, and I think Wand will prevail. This easily has potential to be the best MMA event ever.

Well, Wandy did KO Shogun in the fight over the pitbull (Silva confirms this in his interview on Pride 28?, not sure which one) and I don't think a fight at the end of GP is the best gauge for comparison, but I think that you're right Shogun's probably better at this point. I see Wandy beating Lil Nog, though, in a good fight. I'm afraid that I think Wandy may be on the decline, though, or at least the competition is catching up to him. He has been in some wars and that takes its toll (see also Big Nog) so Shogun should get his chance at the belt soon.

Wandy won't be defending his title at this event so it really is more of a match to draw some attention and hype for his defense in March in Vegas. I hope that Fedor and Mirko fight on this card, or maybe even Hunt-Fedor. I also think that Barnett and Nog should have a rematch especially since their fight at the GP finals as so close.

Nog/Barnett was probably the best grappler on grappler fight I've ever seen. There needs to be a rematch for sure.

Hunt/Fedor wouldn't be too much of a fight for fedor either, he's got too many holes in his game.
