Before I make my post, let me preface by saying as a fighter, a coach, and a personality, I have a very strong dislike for Tito Ortiz; and really, my comments are in no way motivated by fanhood.

With that being said, these are allegations - you know, that sticky little legal term that denotes a reasonable suspicion for "illegal act X," not a conviction in any court outside the court of public opinion. You know, those things that men are constantly stuck with in instances of sexual assault/domestic abuse before any evidence thereabout is presented and/or the individual is even given an opportunity to defend himself. In reality, if this were some random celebrity woman beating her husband, there is not a person in this thread who would be saying, "Bitch is a scumbag, I hope she gets her box rammed by some pig in prison." But, I digress: nothing smells quite as good as double standards in the morning.

I realize that every deliciously gossip-filled mémé needs to be ravenously consumed by the public - and really, as men, we are just as guilty as perpetuating this ridiculous behavior as women, but since it is MMA, it's "all good" - but nobody here, nor anybody outside of Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson knows what occurred. And the fact is this: I will hold my conviction for Tito, as Jenna Jameson is not necessarily a pillar of honesty in the moral community, nor should her word be taken as gospel.

It could just be that I am old fashioned, though: that is, reserving my judgment and hate until those pesky little things called facts come out.

Well, he is naturally going to deny the allegations, and that should be not taken with any more gravitas than her initial threats. I just meant to say that, until the "facts" or something which at least reasonably resembles them are released, I am going to withhold judgment.

Very true. However, call me a ham and/or naive and/or an effing tard, but my gut first impression was, "Tito can't act that good." He seemed genuinely pained during his remarks. I guess we'll see in a couple days, this thing is unraveling rather quickly.

Those were my thoughts as well, as he did appear to be genuinely distressed. Whether that was distress over thinking, "I can't fight, I can't act, I failed at Celebrity Apprentice, I'm running out of money and my multi-million dollar meal ticket is gone," or whether it was distress over thinking, "My marriage has fallen apart" remains to be seen!

thats what these boards are for....most people are kidding because tito tends to be an *******. I wasnt kidding in when of my later statements about jenny having sh!t done to her. That sucks and is a strong reason shes a porn star. I cant believe anyone would want to date someone with that track record.

on another note i bet tito might have done something very small which isnt right but not jail or fine worthy. now the press will blow this up and hurt his career and mental factor for his next fight and now his careers over. So i hope he doesnt get too involved in this and it gets dropped and he trains hard for his next fight as an MMA fan I hope to see him back.

No, you don't hit a lady especially when you are a professional fighter. Tito actually isnt a great fighter outside the ring. Lee Murray (another character) KOd him with one punch in a street fight. Matt Hughes wrote about it in his book. Murray was a middleweight and considerably smaller than Ortiz but put him out with just one punch. Ortiz is a good sport fighter but he'd be a great example of how the UFC isn't "as real as it gets." I think someone like Lidell or Penn would be twice as imposing outside a cage actually but Ortiz would be a big joke. I'd love to see some giant in prison make Tito his manhole and rape and beat him then finally kill him. Tito is a worthless human.

anyone see tito's quick press statement? they said jenna has been addicted to oxy's for a long time and had a relapse. so the bruise or whatever on her arm could be from him trying to restrain her. guy was crying his eyes out and sounded like he really cared. i believe him. she didnt have any other damage visible and who even knows if that arm is damaged at all. i mean in a drug addict's world its much easier to call the cops and send the dude to jail than face the embarassment of relapsing. tito might be a douche bag but i doubt he is a wifebeater.

I've never hit a woman and I've never stolen a thing in my life. I've never even cheated on a woman so I can add to that as well. So yeh I can talk however the hell I want, SINNER or SAINT. In light of what seems to be the case I do have sympathy for Ortiz. I initially assumed after hearing the details that he may have treated her roughly in trying to save her from herself but without malicious intent. Ortiz is a large man at 6'1 and well over 200lbs (I'm sure he walks around at 225). But the fact that he is adamant that he never TOUCHED her makes me think either he really never touched her or that it was more than him trying to restrain her. I know for myself I did have an issue with a woman I cared about who had an addiction problem. I never hit her but did restrain on several occasions which did leave marks on her arms. I never meant to hurt her and only wanted to save her from doing something that would kill herself. In the end you can't turn mud into gold though. I think Tito learned this. But in cases of domestic abuse its taken too lightly. Someone commented if a celebrity wife hit their husband that no one would care. Well name me a 200+ lb woman who is a former collegiate wrestler and UFC champion who beats their husband and I'll agree with you. I've knocked out a guy, knocked his jaw into his ear almost for hitting a woman before and would again in a heartbeat. I just see red and don't care if it's a midget or a 400lb gorilla (although women are the dominant sex in many gorilla clans so it'd be an exception).
