Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic has not yet made a decision to retire at this time, despite recent reports and statements that had suggested that he was finished in the sport. Speaking in a recent interview, Cro Cop stated that reports of his retirement were premature and that he had not made a final decision in the wake of his loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 103 last Saturday night.
Here's Cro Cop's take on things, which includes a pseudo-retraction of any retirement statements he may have made previously;
"Although it would be for the best to stay out, I would like to do 2 more contracted fights with the UFC and then end my career. Simply, fights and training are in my blood, I still haven't made my final decision, it can happen that I finish everything day after tomorrow, but I would like to in fact still do it. After the Dos Santos defeat I was hot and the statements were not founded. Things are not all that black".
What is able to be confirmed and what may have led to the retirement speculation and reports is that Team Cro Cop has been disbanded with Cro Cop instructing team manager Zvonimir Lucic to release all Team Cro Cop members including Igor Pokrajac, who made his UFC debut at the same UFC 103 card, falling to Vladimir Matyushenko via unanimous decision on the event's undercard.
