I'm interested in MMA, but my conditioning and cardio need some work before I walk into any of the gyms around here. I don't want to even walk into an MMA gym unless I can hang. So I guess what I'm asking is how to get there. I've been doing a lot of sled-dragging, sledgehammer-swinging, sandbag-carrying, things like that. Do you still need to hit the weights to get to the point I'm trying to get to? Cardio? Do you bother with light cardio anymore? Do you bother with long-distance running at all? So many questions (most of them are rhetorical, not looking for anyone to actually break it down for me to that extent). I'd appreciate a push in the right direction.
