Pretty awesome cut.

You need GOOD stitches buddy. Don't just butterfly that sh*t... You'll scar and it'll open up easier in the future.

Ouch. I would go in and get some stitches man, it will help it heal faster and reduce scaring. Good luck, get well soon.

Also, remember you only have a finite window to get stitches. Most cases I believe it's about 24hrs. After that the doc won't want to stitch it anymore.

Good point as well. If I had that cut, my first trip would be to the ER or a plastic specialist. Luckily my good friend's father is a Plastics... Fake boobies and stitches.

I'm kind of wishing I would have got stitches now but I didn't. It's healing pretty well on it's own. I'm taking care to clean it a couple times a day with hydrogen peroxide, iodine and antibacterial ointment.

NOOOOOOO!

You can clean it initially with those products, but then just keep it clean with warm soap and water.

Both iodine and hydrogen peroxide will make it take longer to heal. After you clean it well initially you want to keep it clean, if not stitching then butterfly band-aid that thing closer together. Some neosporin is fine, but don't keep it saturated. You need it to breath as well so it can scab and heal. Don't pick at the scab, it could scare a bit more.

Iodine and peroxide actually will destroy the granulation healing process which is what keeps it from healing as fast. Soap and water is just fine.

Well I went to a doctor and they glued it tighter. It looks alot better. They said it's not quite as good as stitches but better if I had done nothing.
