| Gold Member/Silver Back | I agree. I think KOs are more entertaining to the general public. However, a KO means that you hit the guy hard enough to physically render him unable to continue. A submission means he voluntarily chose to discontinue. That's a big difference if you think about it. If I were a fighter, I would try to use my BJJ skills to get in positions to pound a dude until he is dazed and then submit him. That would be the best of both worlds. |

| Registered User | Yeah sorry to sidetrack to hockey. I just find those guys tough as nails too (just like MMA fighters in fact.) I like KO's when they're well executed. I don't like it when fighters just get lucky w/ a KO. I like subs when they're technical too. I don't like it when people just use muscle to guillotine or whatever their opponent (which most probably does not know enough BJJ.) The best subs are those that are executed w/ the use of proper technique and proper application of strength. MT - 15 years Kyokushinkai Karate - 4 years BJJ - 1 year Bodybuilding - N00b. |

| The exception | People dont really have the capacity to appreciate things they dont understand, in general they shun the unknown and laud the familiar. IF a guy was RNC'ed or had a kimura break his upper third humerous i imagine he would have a respect and appreciation for the missunderstood, under appreaciated and ever effective BJJ game. Most people also like instant gratification, a happy ending and explosions. Hence the popularity of fireworks, knockouts, drinking and sex. I appreciate a person with the courage and conviction to win, in any situation, to persevere, battle and come out on top. Emerging from a fog, ready to grow, time to work on my mind like i've toiled on my body, only not for vanity. Am i ready for god? |

| Gold Member/Silver Back | I love all KOs. Even if they are lucky. I don't believe too much in "luck" anyway. I agree on wack subs though. It's not that exciting to see an guillotine anymore. RNC either. |

That's a choke JuJistu practitioners use on retards, brawlers, and wrestlers. That being said - a few decent BJJ guys have gotten caught... but by and large - anyone getting caught with a guillotine should not be fighting in the UFC. | Gold Member/Silver Back | Bro, any BJJ guy is in danger of getting RNC'ed if the other person has his back. All the other dude has to do is pound his head in until the BJJ guy forgets about the RNC and just wants to defend the blows to the dome. I agree about the guillotine though, lol. That's just kind of crappy take down technique. If it happens any other time than a take down, then whoa. |

| Gold Member/Silver Back | Sometimes, or so I've read, people have given up the RNC just to stop the pounding. But once dazed.. his level of technique is compromised. |
