Well at least we have Dream and Sengoku still. Hopefully with the addition of Affliction maybe the production will be better. I have to agree that PRIDE has the most creative productions and banners for their events. Some of the fights were freak shows, but it made it exciting nonetheless.

The Grand Prix and Bushido events were always great IMO. Seeing guys get fired up after a yellow card was exciting too!

FWIIW, Netflix has a pretty decent collection of Pride DVDs.

I miss Lenne Hardt --- Buffer's got nothing on her.

Take his lame: "iiiiiiiiiit's tiiiiiiime!!!"

To her:
From Brazil Antoniooooooooo Rodrigoooooo Minotaurooooo Nogeriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

The only cool think about Buffer is his little hop step and quick turn to the corner he says "in the blue corner".....it's like he surprises himself.

The quick turn is mega-gay.
lol - come on...I just rewatched 91 and crack up every time Buffer tries to trick us. It's like he's looking at the red corner, then all of a sudden quickly turns to his left and says "in the blue corner". plus the way he says "Steve MmmazagaTi" is pretty good.

but ya Lenne is awesome. She's part of the reason Pride 33 is still one of my favorite events ever.

Hahaha that guy's a class act. His brother must've told him that he's not putting enough motions or something in his introductions hahaha. Mega-gay but mega funny too lol

From wikipedia:

Besides his catch phrases, Buffer also has a habit of motioning to one corner before quickly spinning and pointing directly to the corner being introduced. In an interview with MMAMemories.com dated March 26th, 2008 Buffer is quoted saying "Let’s call it the 'Buffer 180.'" (LOL)

Buffer has also appeared on ESPN's World Series of Poker Main Event show playing World Champion Chris Moneymaker at the televised table in 2007 and made the Final Table of the World Poker Tour, in the Season 3 Invitational at the Commerce Casino, where he placed 6th and is a very well known and world rated poker player on the professional circuit.

Man! The guy's one mean poker player too!

I felt the same way at first, but considering almost every fighter came to UFC and got spanked.... makes you wonder. I like the ring personally. Love the Japanese fans WAY better. They understand and appreciate much more than US fans.

Most of them are contenders or champions. Wand, Page, Nog, Andy, etc are all at or near the top. CC lost his edge, Shogun had a torn ACL, and Soko was still unknown.

I miss IFL. I liked the whole "team" set up and playoff system like deal they had leading to the Grand Prix.

I hated the IFL. Poor production, poor fights, and a poor concept.
