Blood work in a nutshell and a q

Got it done last week on Doc's orders... I believe Quest labs..

    TT - @790
Free Test - 2.6 (2.7 is the high range)
    Est - 55 (56 is high range)

I'm on 1cc test cyp per week and taking L-Dex for estrogen control... when I get a full nights sleep morning wood is always there, I have no problems with sex drive, libido, energy or anything, in fact this is about as good as I have felt since my early 20's before I did prohormones galore and sent my body into a nice tailspin...

my question is, should I lower the E or is that ok?

There is debate about people getting all kind of values from e2 tests while their feeling correspond or not to values that they get from lab.

The lattest is 24hr urine test from RheinLabs, as the one that we should use.

The reson stated is that fluctuating E2 levels are being averaged over 24hr with this test.

RheinLabs is (usually) about $250 out of pocket.

With all that said the most important in E2 management seems to be existance of erections, nightly wood, well being, and lack of gyno.

Since it looks like you have these under control, I would leave your E2 as is (eith the above qualifications).

L dex takes you all over the place..Its not standardized and can cause people a major head ache, get real amidex and you feel the difference. Me and many of my freinds learned the hard way trying to manage e2 with l-dex. Results where all over the charts and chasing morning boners were driving us nuts (which little we had to begin with)

your testosterone is good as with free T
    get that e2 into check.
Sad thing is that I see perfect blood work but still see guys suffering from clincal estrogen domanince over 24 hour peroid shown by rhiens test.

I would love to get arimidex but my doc doesn't know how to prescribe it and I had to pull teeth to get her to agree to give me shots. The only way I did that was because my insurance was giving me headaches, even after that I had to convince her to keep me on injections.

Now she is onboard with me because of the bloodwork, but arimidex would be out of the question for her, when I did ask that before she referred me to a uro.

The uro wanted to put me on one shot a month, I am on 1cc a week split into two shots per week and I do them at home with prefilled syringes dispensed by nursing staff. The uro would insist I go to another doc so they can inject me, no at-home shots anymore. So going to the uro is out of the question.

Liquidex is my only option, unless I can get arimidex cheap and of decent quality anywhere online, but I don't know.

I have finished one vial of Liquidex (30mL).
I am currently half way thru (60mL) Anastrozole vial, started that vial 12/6/07.

In my experience both work ok.

I understand your plight, for over 2 years I could get only Androgel script, my doc did not want to listen about Arimidex or HCG either. Before I learned about Liquidex and Anastrozole I was getting Arimidex. I think Arimidex is overrated unless insurance pays, even then it is hard to cut those small pills into 4 quarters.
My prescription plan does not want to pay mostly for anything except Cialis and Androgel.

    They do not pay for
    Testosterone
    HCG
    Arimidex
    Armour
    Cortef

It would help if you got the lab name for sure plus ranges.

Testosterone may still be low, I would know better if SHBG was available. I do not believe FreeT tests are good.

More frequent T schedule than 1x/week would help, possibly little more T.

Touchy bussiness with E2, you may want to memorize your current L-Dex dose, increase it slightly, see what happens.

I know for a fact my test isn't low... on the lab scale the high end is @1000 and I have been consistently 790ish...

Most docs are happy with you about 500-600

I'm fortunate to have one that is cool with me being high-normal

My free test is a tick below the high limit and she is good with that, whether or not you like the Free Test test is relevant because in NYS if you are above the Free Test limit the doc has to, by law, knock your dosage down. They will punish docs who "juice" their patients.

I feel great, Jansz, I'm not going to micromanage my tests and pop pills galore to get my ranges dead-on-balls accurate. I go by feel. I shouldn't NEED Cialis for morning wood, I get it regardless and my libido and sex-life are very healthy.

My only question was is my E2 too high and if it is, is there any other way to lower it rather that dosing my face off on Liquidex? Arimidex raises your cholesterol a bit for starters and I don't think drugging myself to the max is particularly helpful. So if anyone can help me with that.. it would be much appreciated. If I HAVE to increase my L-Dex dose, I guess I will, but I'd rather find a natural option.

    DIM, 6-OXO, anything?

    This is very important information.

Therefore it is even more important for you to go and get the correct test.
NY State also does not allow Genova Diagnostic testing,
I am so glad that I moved from Mineola to NJ in 1973

Quest Diagnostics, blood drawn at quest:

    Testosterone, Free, Bio/Tot
    Estradiol, Ultrasensitive, LC/MS/MS (30289X)
    Dihydrotestosterone, Free, Serum (36168X)
