Nope, never recovered. On TRT. You might want to give HCG a shot to try and jump start the testicle that had the varicocele.

I've been off clomid for 2 mos now. Here are my 2 mo post-clomid results:

Total T 637 [241-827]
Free T 15.4 [8.7-25.1]
LH 5.0 [1.5-9.3]
FSH 2.5 [1.4-18.1]
Estradiol 22 [0-53]

TT/FT has gone down a bit, but I'm still feeling fine.
