HCG + Pregnancy Test = ????

How much information can really be gained from using a pregnancy test on their HCG? I just did that on older Abraxis HCG (about a month) out of curiosity and put 300 on it and it didn't do anything so I loaded another needle and shot 1000 on it and it said pregnant (but after several minutes, the not-pregnant line was dark and the pregnant line was faded and like half as dark)..... but I got to thinking this gives NO solid indication of how much effectiveness it has lost at a given dose or how much extra you would need to use to get the same result at that % of degredation.

Anyone have thoughts or tips on this subject???
