Blood Test?

Hi, guys.

I finally got in touch with a endo. I told the office about my symtoms i was feeling.(low libido, fatigue etc..) They said they cant see me unless i get blood work to show low test levels. Basically wont see me on a hunch.they told me to go to my primary doc and have him order the tests for my blood work and fax it to them. Most endo i talked to wont see me without a referral.

So, finally for my question i have. What kind of basic tests should i have my doc ask the lab for after he draws my blood. Im just asking this because I think as a regular doc he wont no exactly what to look for. Thanks guys.

If you can get script for full blown test from your doc,
check my list, post #44
http://anabolicminds.com/forum/male-anti-aging/66268-jans-bloodtest-april13-2.html

Assuming that you want a minimum to start with,
while checking for:
adrenal Fatigue
thyroid
low testosterone

ask for this:
--------------------------------------
Aldosterone
Cortisol 8AM
Cortisol 4PM
DHEA sulfate
Prolactin
-TSH
- free thyroxine (fT4)
- free triiodothyronine (fT3)
- reverse T3 (rT3)
- anti-thyroglobulin antibodies (anti-TG)
- anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies (anti-TPO)
Estradiol, Free, LC/MS/MS (36169X)
Estrogens, Fractionated, LC/MS/MS (36742X)
Testosterone, Free, Bio/Total (LC/MS/MS)
Dihydrotestosterone, Free, Serum (36168X)
-------------------------------------------------
This tests have to be done at Quest Diagnostics,
(important) blood drawn at Quest.

Locate Quest patient service:

Best would be if you could copy the list, and e-mail it to your doc,
and ask to print it on his office stationary.

If he starts writting or worst using Quest's forms the last four tests will get messed up and you will newer get them right.
Other tests may also get messed up.

Off hand, I do not see much future after your description of endo behavior.
We usually have a bad experiences with endos.
If you can, locate osteopath.
Or go to local compounding pharmacy and ask for doc that deals with adrenals, thyroid and male TRT.

Hey thanks alot jansz you been a great help. As far contacting an osteopath, what should I be looking for from these kind of docs. I searched for osteopaths in my area(new haven, connecticut) and found many listed. Many of them specilize in diff kinds of medical studies. What kind of osteopath should I look for(internal med, family prac. etc..) Sorry for all the questions, I just so tired of feeling like this and I want to get proper treatment. Please help me out if you can. thanx

Locating osteopath increases your chances, it does not give any guarantee that this will be right doc for you.

Get list of osteopaths
call each one

ask if he deals with

adrenals
thyroid
trt (for men)

prescribes

hcg
arimidex
testosterone

goes to A4M conferences, have any certifications from A4M

The more yes you get the better you are.

Arimidex and HCG are must.

I just found new doc in my neighborhood, or I did not came across him before. 22 miles from me.

Konior, Wojciech
Address: 25 Brookside Dr
Oak Ridge, NJ 07438
Phone: (973) 208-0112

Using that search machine, I send him inquiry:

I would like to know if Doctor is having account with Genova Diagnostics.

If he deals with:
Adrenals
Thyroid
TRT (for man)

If he prescribes
HCG
Arimidex
Testosterone
Armour Thyroid

I tell you contacting these doctors is so frustrating. They either dont deal with trt, nor do they want to. Tried calling acouple compound pharms also and they wont give out docs names that use there compounds. Said it was illegal and conflict of interest. I really dont no what to do. I dont have the money to go any anti age clinics. Im counting on my insurence to pick up the tab. Im waiting on my gp to call me back and hopefully he will right a script for my blood work. I guess il go from there. I never felt so bad in my life.

Try again.
Actually show your face at compounding pharmacy.
I went to my local compounding pharmacy, had nice conversation.
Left with couple addresses.

Called Genova Diagnostics, have given them my zip code, got back a list of names in my area.

When you at first do not succed, try again.

I just have given you a list of 32 anti-aging docs, call them.

If the compounding pharmacy accepts any payment from medicare or medicaid they are subject to the Federal anti-fraud statute and the federal laws regarding ethics in patient referral, which have strict conflict-of-interest rules and impose serious sanctions for violations.

If they don't accept third-party payment from government payors, the above laws aren't as important for them.

A lot of compounding pharmacies are happy to refer you to a doctor. You can even contact them for a referral from their web sites.
