Throat feels swollen

I have all the typical symptoms we normally discuss and am on HRT. My numbers now are within the normal areas for the most part but I still feel lousy.

Anyways... my throat feels swollen and has for a few months....it is also mildly sore and talking is an effort. It even looks a bit swollen but not in any one place.

Any idea what might be causing this? It also seems to be causing my fatigue, dont ask how I know that...its just a sense I am getting.

Mono? Strep?
 
This question should be taken to your DR, not an internet forum. Sorry for being blunt, but without a proper medical examination, it's purely speculation - and you can't treat that.

I agree. I'm not a big 'hurry go to the doctor' person...but after three months, it's probably something that needs medical attention.
 
I have so many symptoms that I would be bankrupt if I saw a DR every time I had one.

A swollen thyroid is definitely a possibility....would being on levoxyl/armour cause that?

If not, what would?

And I am 42 ans still have my wisdom teeth.
 
hmm I thought if you were younger you might have infected wisdom teeth.. mine were like that for a time as they are only partially through the gum for whatever reason and when they get infected my throat swells up and hurts! probably not very likely for a guy at your age, but if the area around them isnt sore then I guess you could rule this out..
