    Confused on total T, free T, etc...

    My latest results showed:

    Total T --- 494ng/dl (250-1100ng/dl)
    T % free ---3.13% (H) (1.5-2.2%)
    T free ------154pg/ml (35-155pg/ml)

    At this point, is raising my total T worthless even though its on the lower side since my free Ts are at or above the top levels?

    Free T is the real holy grail in this isn't it?

    Seeing my doc tomorrow and will seek ways to recuce E2 (41pg/ml scale of 13-54pg/ml) and DHT (96ng/dl scale of 25-75ng/dl) but probably won't mess with T levels....

    Do not spend money testing freeT
    Assayed Freet is worthless;

    494 is low no matter how you look at it.

    Get blood tested at Quest, blood drawn at Quest.
    do this test:

    Testosterone, Free, Bio/Total (LC/MS/MS)
    Quest Diagnostics: Test Menu

    Your goal is BAT~575
    BAT bioAvailable Testosterone
    if on T supplementation.

    You are low now, no sense testing if you are going to use shots.
    If you have SHBG I can calculate for you approximate initial dose, so you will be real close on your next testing for dose tweaking.

    T shots will increase your e2
    To controll it use liquid Anastrozole or Liquidex.
    Start with 1mL/week=1mg Arimidex pill/week

    Do not go over, about 1.5/week, use on day of the shot;
    so with a goal of, say, 1mL/week 1/7*2=0.285=28.5 units on insuline syringe with cut out needle

    When on supplemental T use HCG 380iu/shot
    I prefer E2D schedule
    that is T & hcg on alternate days.

    To control E2 use
    Estradiol, Free, LC/MS/MS (36169X)
    Quest Diagnostics: Test Menu

    goal
    FreeE2 (0.45 - 0.6)
