I asked this in a thread earlier about increasing hc too fast, but my question about eye pressure wasn't clear. I have high eye pressure ( no glaucoma, but always in the low to mid 20's in measurment and doctor keeps an eye on it). He told me not to take nasal spray because of steroids, so it makes me nervous when my endocrine doc prescribes 25mg HC and what it could do to my eye pressures. ( although I feel a lot better on HC)
Does anyone here have high eye pressure and take HC or medrol?
Did it raise your pressures or have any adverse affect on eyes?
Thanks-Rob

Stay away from high eye pressure.
Last Sept I went for new scrip for eyglasses.
Doc told me that she do not like my "angles".
They are narrow and closing.
Relatively common in older person with small eye balls.
Send me to specialist.
Ended having one hole in each iris burned with laser, that should prevent any pressure build up.

Only problem was that I had to do each eye separately due to insurance regulations.

This is walk in walk out, procedure.
You can go straight to gym after procedure, I went dancing.
Get dark glasses with you.

I do not think you want to skimp on HC if you need it.

The surgery was done by company named Omni.
It looks like they may be operating across USA

google "omni eye service"

You should find an opthamologist who has the computed angiography equipement. Glaucoma is a silent vision destroyer. This should be imaged and tracked. The occular cup and blood flow can be imaged and treatment decisions based on real meaurements, changes to the eye rather than guess and bygolly. Field of vision should be checked and compared with your chart at frequent intervals. I've been wandering around the 20's level for years and it's being followed closely. So far no problems. Your opthamolgist should measure pressure with the device that contacts your eye rather tha blows a puff of air. Here's a link that describes the state of the art equipment.

Thanks for reply! My doc follows my vision pretty close. They do check pressure by touching to eyes. He see's me every 6 months alternating check up's and field vision test, retinal imaging each visit. My concern being HC raising Intraoccular pressure even more. Although, interesting another person from thyroid boards said she had high eye pressure( up in 20's) for 7 yrs and since being on Armour last yr and a half, pressure came down to 18,19 within 6 months, then two months ago tested and pressure was 13,14. Pretty great news to hear!
