That will get old quiclky.
You or your doctor will try to increase time between shots.
You are wasting lots of time in your life, insted of few minutes affair it becomes aproject.
What is your SHBG?
Are those shots large enough.
Are you getting HCG.
So many questions.
Nothing against T cypionate, I thought you are in USA where Depo_T is available.
I am glad that you are feeling better.
The worst screwed up T delivery is still working positively on depression and blues.

In military life possibly you have all the time to go for shots.
But tell me your SHBG level, you may need more frequent shots,
you may need different amount of test.
Thank you for serving my country.
If Androgel did not worked for you, do not get talked into another type of transdermals,
stay with shots.
Possibly you could educate your doctor and get the
missing blood tests
tell you doctor that you can get cancer if he does not help you with estrogens.
he may not be sympatetic if you complain about erections, cancer may get his attention.
When taking about HCG, again tell him that it helps with estrogens and do not stress the wanishing balls part.

Testosterone propionate 2 days
Testosterone phenylpropionate 3 days
Testosterone isocaproate 4 days
Testosterone decanoate 7 days
Testosterone cypionate 6 days
Testosterone entantate 5 days
There is a blend, not sure if it makes people happy.
six of this and half a dozen of the other
Sustanon 250 (testosterone blend)
Sustanon 250 is an oil-based injectable containing four different testosterone compounds:
testosterone propionate, 30 mg;
testosterone phenylpropionate, 60 mg;
testosterone isocaproate, 60mg;
and testosterone decanoate, 100 mg.
The mixture of the testosterones are time-released to provide an immediate effect while still remaining active in the body for up to a month.
Hard for me to say, on thise boards we talk about
Depo_T is available only in USA.
More often people are trying to get longer half lifes as possible (nebido, pellets)
I suggest that you get as good blood test as you can manage.
Follow my list (post #41) if you can.
We will be in better position to figure out your needs.

Don't be in such a rush, stay with the Test Cyp.
Take in all the info you gather here, but understand much of what is offered may either irrelevant to your particular situation or may even be incorrect. Everyone is different.
This is not meant to say others are not well-meaning, but important to use info to help build your base of knowledge in order to better understand your situation and be able to ask good questions. I don't mean to be critical of well-meaning posts and haven't even read those within this one, but it always amazes me how many will take everything they read here as gospel when we don't always know who is writing it. Many in here have LOTs of knowledge. Some do not and some just have a few things mixed up, but that can matter a lot.
Ones willingness to believe everything is part of our frustration and eagerness to find answers.
Unless, it comes from Dr. Crisler or Dr. Mariano, or other acknowledged expert - take things for what they are, a foundation in your base of knowledge.
I would be VERY careful about any specific instruction concerning what you should take and how you take it. How can anyone who reads a short description of your situation be able to provide counsel on such an important topic as manipulating you hormones?

JansZ knows my opinions on trying to base an HRT program on a inaccurate test like SHBG.
Transdermal didn't work for you, fine, go to shots.
You probably need a more frequent shot schedule and you need hcG.
I do not understand why more people just don't make the trip up here to michigan.
From my understanding once you get tuned up one only needs to see Dr John once or twice a year, at 50 bucks a visit.
Better than dealing with uneducated MD's.
08-21-2007, 02:55 PM
Agree completely - if you can swing it. I can't wait for my VOV between my PCP and Dr. Crisler.
If you can afford it, don't waste anymore of your life waiting for the answer to fall from the sky. I imagine most can come up w/ the cash if you make a little sacrifice elsewhere.
What could be more important than your health and simply enjoying life. Give up 1 vacation, eating out, pack your lunch whatever.

When I started to bring up the Testosterone problem they told me it was in my head again and tried to make me another appointment to see the Wizard (military psychiatrist). I told them I wanted to see an endo and they told me flat out "no" I asked for blood work and they put things in my medical record that said I was "narcissistic" and that I request "unnecessary medical tests." I had one Dr. (quack) tell me to just go home and watch porn to see if something happens! This has been a long stressfull road not to mention that I have to deal with things on a daily basis that most people will never have to do in their lifetime and all the while feeling like total s*** because of the low Testosterone. So, I finally get this appt. to see an Endo and he knows nothing, but at least he has me on Test which has made the last 3 weeks of my life an absolute dream. I actually WANT to PT (physical training) with my unit, I now get hard just thinking of my wife and I wake up with raging wood in the morning! Even though my life is improving I still feel like I could be feeling better if I could just get my endo to perform the proper tests that need done and maybe give me some HCG and Arimidex (if I need it).
08-21-2007, 05:25 PM
Then you doctor will have a proof that you do not need testosterone.
Man, I am sorry for how much crow you have to eat to get thru to these morons.
Just be cool talking to them, they have got you by your short and curly.
If you need to unload, write it here, we understand.

It is my understanding that after the initial work, then a retest after 4-6 weeks, one only needs to do this once every year.
Medicine is cheap - Compounded T in a cream, hcG. Not much money.
Buck up bud. :good:

OK I am really loosing my patience with my retarted endo! I go into today for my one month follow up (just started TRT last month) and I bring in Dr. Johns papers and my endo practically threw them back at me and said "there is no scientific evidence that Estrodiol has any impact on males" and he also said that "HCG is out of the question" He has me on 100mg Test Cyp per week and I had my blood drawn right before my 3 week injection and the results came back at 356 TT. This seems low, but it was on day 7 so I am sure It is much higher on day 3 (at least I hope so). I have no idea what any of my other hormones are at because this idiot won't test them. He told me that he is going to keep me at 100mg as see me in 3 months I made another appt. at military sick call to try and get a second opinion from another Endo (I sure this will be easy). I am so sick of dealing with this crap. I have been feeling a little better from the shots though, but my libido is still not like it used to be
09-06-2007, 05:44 PM
356 is too low even for Day 7. Although I do think 3 wks may not be enough for T to stabilize, maybe another week or 2.
But, if it stays at 356 it's too low and I would bump up to 110mg or 120mg.
Understand that the increase in your serum T does not rise in direct proportion to increase in Test Cyp injection. Each individual will react differently. Some will see a small jump and some will see a larger jump. That's why it is important to increase just a small amount, let your levels stabilize and take it from there.
If my doctor threw papers at me. I'dd tell him to screw himself and leave. Who works for who. But I understand ur in diff situation.

Hyde, thought i should add in some input here bro. Our situations are really similar. Varicoceles cause all manner of problems bro, not just testosterone. I've just had saliva cortisol results back and they showed low cortisol (zone 5 adrenal fatigue). Basically varicocele (even when repaired - i also have one vein hanging about like you, unfixed since the operation) cause a constant inflammation condition that can lead to adrenal hyperactivity and eventually adrenal fatigue. Adrenal fatigue results in lowered libido, corisol production, etc.
You need to check to look into adrenals, thyroid then sex hormones (in this order).
I would also go for 125mg of testosterone weekly. This should keep you at the top end of the scale. HCG would be a huge bonus, shooting 250 (or 500iu) on day's 5/6 would be ideal. I am willing to bet your adrenals and thyroid are out of whack this will wreck ALLOT of havok on your libido, erections, etc. I have reduced penile sensation, ED, low libido, shrinkage, etc about 90% of the time.

SPECIMEN1 12.6 MCG/DL
TIME2 30 MINUTES
SPECIMEN2 25.6 MCG/DL
TIME3 60 MINUTES
SPECIMEN3 25.5 MCG/DL
NORMAL RESPONSE: PEAK GREATER THAN 20 MCG/DL
(>16 MCG/DL AFTER IM INJECTION)

All you have is a vial or two of testosterone and order from doctor to do 100mg/week shots.
If you are in possesion of testosterone I would say all you have to do is recalculate the dose for E3D or if too complicated, make half of it and take twice weekly.
Just that change will make your situation better.
Hate to say this, but most/many people on T shots need AI.
Does not mean that it is your problem, specially that you are most likely on too low dose of test, you may want to get bottle of LiquiDex, use 0.5cc twice a week for 2-3 weeks and see if that makes you feel better.
You need high tech help and without minimal doctor's cooperation it is going to be up hill.
09-06-2007, 09:25 PM
I have seen people do well in that test before but still have cortisol issues. You need to get a 12/24hr Saliva test (4x daily) to get a better picture, this should include all the other hormones like DHEA, 17-OH Progesterone, Cortisol, etc.
Everyone i have seen so far has thyroid problems due to varicocele (hypothyroidism). It always appears to be just "borderline" allot of the time too. Get your TSH, Total T3/T4 and Free T3/T4 checked in full to get a better idea.
One thing i noticed was varicocele caused some kind of weird conversation problem too with Progesterone, i will explain this better tomorrow.
How have you felt on the TRT so far? What symptoms did you have before and after?
Do you ever suffer from unit shrinking at times or bad ED?
