Phone consultation fee......
I just had a dr charge me $210 for a phone consultation. When I scheduled it I was told three times it would cost $110.
The consultation lasted about 35 minutes, at least 25 of which were spent with the dr typing his notes, I barely had a chance to speak.
Isnt $210 outrageous for what could of been done in ten minutes?
What do other drs charge?
The dissappointing thing is....he is an excellent dr and better than this.....I dont get it.

Dr Johns are $50
$210 for followup-phone conversations is very high
Most of us would go broke

Depends by Doc. It seems as if you paid 5 dollars or so per minute. I have paid more and less. I value not what I pay but what I get for what I pay. I have had a $350 dollar call that I got my more than my money's worth and I have paid far less than a hundred and felt ripped off.

It was 25 minutes of him typing. Then me suggesting I take HCG, which I should of been on already, me suggesting cortef in lieu of Isocort and him suggesting I come off Armour and go back on Levoxyl.
Basically he just confrmed and agreed with what I suggested.

Sounds like you fall squarely into the category of not getting your moneys worth. Change doctors! Best of luck.

Next time you see this or interviewing another doctor,
first to ask for;
plese sign under my list of blood tests.
If you cannot get thru that first hurdle go to next doctor.
My first doctor had given me any blood tests I want, he also supported me with proper diagnostic codes so I would not go broke paying for all that from my own pocket. Then he was good only for Androgel, refused anything else, but he did not insist on any particular dose of Androgel, that was my own choice. So the AI's I had to do totally on my own. The new doc is supporting me with any scripts I need. He is not pu to date on TRT but listens to what I say and provides sanity checks. He knows more about thyroid and adrenals.
