To guys on HRT and serious ED

After reading through many old posts in regards to ED, there seems to be alot of guys getting let downs with ED getting better on HRT. I NEED to get this resolved or I'm gonna loose it. I'm looking for feedback, both negative and especially positive after getting HRT.

In all honesty i believe ED takes time to resolve. I am 24 and suffered EXTREME ED (i.e. almost like no blood flow and at times, penis shrinkage) but 2/3 weeks into injections i have made good progress and getting some morning wood and night wood. Still not confident about having sex with my girl without viagra, but allot better than before. I believe when i get my E2 levels up (i am a low e2 sufferer).

What do you do to raise E2?

I would think a TD would do the trick. They usually have better conversion of T to E.

Me thinks more T would lead to more E. That would be a safe bet. Plus, the added benefit of having more T :head:

But he uses injections....

He does use injections - Gels didn't work for him. HCG also increases E2 (for a lot of guys). He does not use HCG yet, but I believe he is going to eventually.

Yes, hCG would be an option.

Hang in there bro. As you noted here, and read in my log, you aren't in this alone. We are but a few of those that suffer with it. Only difference is, we have acknowledged our problems and are seeking help.

You are in the right place, it is just going to take some time. Since being on the T injections, I certainly feel much better, which was an un-expected benefit (I didn't realize just how bad I felt until I started feeling good again).

But hang in there, your situation isn't hopeless.

Anybody have any really GREAT results from HRT in regards to ED? Again tonight I'm seeing more threads where it isn't really working as hoped. I was real excited at the prospect of being healthy and having a NORMAL sex life. Getting more depressed....

This part is totally under reported.

I would say T supplementation relieved my depression great deal.
Often I do not think about it, but when I do, just the depression part was worth using TRT.
Help with ED is a gravy.

I have had lost my sex life after being on TRT for about 10yrs. I got bad ED and could not reach an orgasm. This went on for many yrs. until I read about High E2 in men and had it tested. I was very high and this was the cause of my loss. I would have to use a penis pump to pump it up and put on a ring to keep it up to have sex with my wife yet still I had no feeling like the dam thing was dead. I could not reach an orgasm at all. I did this for many yrs. to take care of my wife.

When I found out my E2 was dam high I went on all kinds of things trying to get it down all types of DIM and meds. The only thing that worked was Arimidex I did .5mgs eveyday for 6 week my E2 came down from 90's to 24 first thing that came back was my morning wood hell I have not had morning wood for over 35 yrs. now it was waking me up. My ED got 80% better and I could have sex with my wife and reach an orgasm. So for me high E2 caused me a lot of health problems I had panic attacks, rashs, lost my sex life and had sore and hard nipples all the time. I was hot and would sweat all the time. All of this due to high E2.

But at the time Arimidex was to dam strong and I was going to low just taking .5 mgs every 5 days. So I switched to Indolplex/DIM this worked dam good for me for a long time I kept my E2 down doing one half a tablet a day. To help with the other 20% of my ED my Dr. gave me Cialis 20 mgs. and told me to take it every 72 hrs. Now I have no problems getting it up anytime and it also keeps my BP down. So after being on TRT for over 23 yrs. now 64 yrs. old I have the sex drive of a 20 yr. old.

So the 10 years you were not really on complete TRT, were you?
You probably just got testosterone and nothing else, like I did.

The doctor who did not have any problem giving me Androgel,
had no clue about estradiol.
When I learned abou estradiol and a need for AI, he still refused to give me a script for it.

It is like pulling a teeth.
