22 low test, TRT. Could diet fix issue?

Got tested and I have low test 6-8 and normal is 10-30

Endorcrineolgist is doing more tests, then seems to be hinting at TRT but being 22 I dont really fancy that.

Im wondering if my high protein moderate carb/fat diet could be lowering my test? average macros
250g pro
300g cho
60g fat

Thinking of increasing fat intake to 80g, lowering protein to 180g and carbs to 360g

Read some articles suggesting high protein can lower test, and that a 2:1 ratio can aid test (carb/protein)

I know there could be a lot of other things effecting my test, but I thought that could be one, alsongside inflamation (train high instensity high volume, probs overtraining at times) or adrenal fatigue?

Id rather find the problem than mask it with TRT as i dont drink and eat healthy i doubt theres anything underlying seriously...

Any help would be appreciated

Im not a professional , but I don't think your current diet/macros would cause that low of testosterone. However it couldn't hurt to play around with your macros and see if it makes a difference..

What were your other levels (total t, prolactin, thyroid, SHBG, e2. Etc.)
Have you ever used prohormones or AAS?

I havnt got them on me (doctor kept them)

Yes i done one PH cycle 1 year ago, however I had low test/symptoms before that.

I had a severe head injury when i was younger (13) from which i still have brain bruising and had thryroid issues at the time, wonder if its going to relate back to that...

It could be pituitary damage, which can cause hypogonadism. Those are your test results, so ask for them. If you went to Quest or LabCorp, you should be able to view them online. good luck

They do bro just got mine from doc.

It's normally just the receptionist or w.e is dumb as fuk and doesn't know.

If you ask your doctor and he says no explain that you are entitled to them and then make a written freedom of information request if he gets funny about it. This means they have to supply all data relating to you, but there is a few of £10 they can charge) and they can have up to around 40 days to do it. If not they are liable to many fines etc

I'm a lawyer btw.

Stress, diet, and sleep are the biggest factors that can be addressed to see how it may have an impact in combination with labs. You low fat diet can definitely have an effect and there is no reason to be eating that little. Good that you don't want to jump into TRT at such a young age and are being thorough.

I'm an IT executive btw.

Thanks, would you say 60g of fat is low? i didnt consider that too low?

Im not overly stressed per say, but my sleep quality is fairly poor (dont seem to deep sleep and wake up a lot to urinate) but i do sleep 8 hours.

Im going to try diet/lower volume training and see what the bloods come out at wednesday

Im a Manager btw.

I don't think it's your fat intake. 60g/day is not very low.

60g a day is low compared to the ratio of carbs and protein. We don't know your caloric intake, but I'd recommend getting that up.

What do you weigh? You are not running a high protein, moderate carb/fat. You are running a 40/60/10 and that can certainly have an effect. You want more than 10% of your macros coming from good fats.

weight

150lbs
calss 3000
macros 250p 340c 60f (give or take 10g)

lifts 115kg x 1 bench 100kg x 1 front squat 160kg deadlift x 1

Main symptoms - tiredness, low labido, little facial hair growth
test results so fair - coritsol normal, blood sugar slightly low, test low 6-8. Thyroid normal (however 2 years ago a study on my head injury suggested it was recovering from something)

My body temp also seems low to others (gf says im always cold)

Getting bloods done next week for TSH and minerals etc which should show more...

I just want to be fully armed to talk with endorcrine because she seemed very keen for TRT and id rather find the route cause.

You definitely are on the right course and stick with endo assistance. Sounds like more than diet, but still something to keep in mind.

I think there are multiple underlying causes to these issues. Many cases they are not linked to the causation as being low testosterone, but other factors which can effect low testosterone. Since doing probably close to almost 1000 case reviews there is an increase trend in low ZINc RBc levels across the boards in the general population. The number one thing which has helped to increase testosterone is correcting lifestyle, especially sleep hygiene. Once you correct the proper ciracaden clock the body begins to heal and your battery actually gets charged rather then constantly drained. Do not ask me how to reset the neurotransmitters because this needs to be done with proper neurlogical and other data to know what may be appropriiate for each case. The first thing you can do is get off your damn cell phone and get it the hell away from your head while you are sleeping as this can cause disturbanace in EMF. you think I am joking tell that to the people who call me up saying they are having sleeping issues and increased anxiety issues because they are going through freaken EMF with drawl. The cases I get are the zebras in the horses world and go completely against current research. This is why just because its in pubmed does not make it the bible and there are exceptions to the rule because my self I am one is prime example. You need to look at the whole case and stop hormone chasing as it will not resolve the underlying issue rather it can mask it as it has done on many cases. TRT which has not been properly administered has triggered co-infections and even flared up lyme disease in many patients. Doctors really need to take a step back and truly look at how all the systems are integrated rather then just focusing on one area. You may get short term satisfaction, but never long term gratification. Try to give TRT to a 22 year old in NY the AMA will be down your doctors azz faster then they know what will hit them.

I turn my phone off at night, im pretty sure its a bigger factor effecting my test than lifestyle, as compared to norm my diet/sleep habits are pretty good...

Try taking some Vitamin D3 for a few months. A lot of people are chronically low and that can affect hormonal levels. What does your training routine look like?

My D3 levels are fine (blood test)

I have seen another endocrinologist, but this time a specialist in london.

He said not to jump on TRT yet, and tested SBGH and Estro to see how thats effecting my free test, the fertility doctor (saving sperm) also though its a bit premature to be jumping on TRT when i can maintain an erection and seem to function well (hold quite a bit of muscle mass and I'm also making strength gains) so he said to lay off training for a month and see if that improves things, but the specialist seemed to think my training routine was okay...

currently training 5-6 days a week 1-1.5 hours a day (weights) but i do rest a fair bit...

Im thinking it could be a combination of low SBGH and high estro presenting negative total T results, be interesting to see what free T comes back with. Then I'm thinking either a low dose TRT+HCG to get numbers up without effecting fertility, or possibly restart with clomid/hcg... If not ill jump on the TRT.

Still unsure if its relating to a head accident i had when I was 13 that put me in a coma for 2 weeks, but like me and the doctor said i went through puberty fine after which suggest my pituitary was working fine (Bloods came back and have low LH+FSH), which i also thing under active thyroid could be playing a part. (iodine deficient possibly?)

Bloods below

Test 4nmol
LH 2.4
FSH 2.5
TSH 2.920
Free T4 16

Getting T3, SGBH, Estro and some other things tested now results back next week
