    Test levels? Whats considered normal?

Ok. I went to the Dr. To get a compete physical done for some life insurance policy I got. I went ahead and had test levels checked as well. Well, my liver lipids were a little high from, what I think, an ankle injury. But at first, was scared about the superdrol, m-DROL, h-DROL I ran last spring. But, I did just come off of a fractured ankle, so that's my reasoning for the high liver lipid levels. My testosterone level (point of the thread), was a 896. I asked the nurse if that was good or bad. She said its a little low. That it should be between 900-1000. So I thought to myself, hell yeah! Written proof I have low test levels. I can get some testosterone from a dr legally! Score! Well, got to the Dr., and they asked what I was wanting exactly. I told them I had low testosterone levels. And would like test injections, or a scrip to to take home with me. I showed him the paperwork from my previous trip to the dr, and he asked if I was serious? That I were gonna get him in trouble if he prescribed me test because my levels were already high. I told him what the nurse said. He said no. So, we had more bloodwork done and, again, my level came back 897. He rejected me. So, what's the deal here? What's the normal test range for a man naturally? And who's to say whats normal anyways? Everyone's testosterone is different right? Depending on what your body needs? I could be wrong. But I'm 6'1", 225lbs. A solid build. Anyways, what's a normal testosterone range for a 29 year old man that's my build? I want to get on a curve of test, and want to know if dosage is dependent on what my levels are already at. Or is it standard for everyone, regardless of natural test levels. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Ahh man you are pretty much shut down. I would go back and demand test injections or request a referral asap!

And what do you base this ridiculous statement on?

His T level was almost 900 for fcks sake.

OP, no physician will write you a script for trt with test levels of ~900.

If one does, run far, run fast...

Ummm...no. You absolutely don't need TRT. In no way, shape or form is ~900 low. For anybody.
Don't worry, man, someday I'ma be nobody too.

That nurse should be fired for saying you need trt with those levels.

The low end of normal for people my age is 250. If you have 800 that would be considered high not low.

Ok. Thanks guys. So mine is considered? High? She did not recommend me getting testosterone. She just simply told me it was low, so I was jumping at the chance to get some T legally.

And also, if I started on testosterone, would I run a low dosage, because of my level? Or would I do what I see all over the Internet and read about, and take 500mg/wk? I'm really confused at this now.

No offense but that doctor must have thought you to be quite the fool.
You could've researched a little before you went to the doctor with paperwork claiming you needed trt injections because your total test number of 900 was to way too low.

Alright alright I get it. But I was going off of what a nurse had told me! And I've read different things online. Some would say 700 is low. Others 500 is low. Who was to say, 900 was low, was my thought. And again, I thought it could possibly be a person to person thing. What's low to one could be perfect for another. Or what she said as mine, low, would be high to someone else's. so, there ya go.

How many years have you been training? What's your bodyfat %? And what exactly you wanting to run test for?

I'm 29. 6'1", 226lb. Around 12-13% bf. I have trouble getting the extra weight off. I want to lose the weight, but don't want to sacrifice the muscle in the process of extreme dieting. So, add in test, moderately, to help with some gains, and burn some more fat.

I would never think about running a cycle or going near any supplements if I was almost 30 and running 900 test levels. Those of us on TRT try to stay at the 700-900 level in general and you do this naturally.

    bragger. lol
