RX clomid after 6 months TRT

24 years old. Been on androderm patch for TRT since October. After seein a new dr he wanted to try and restart me given my history and diagnosing Bloodwork from back in October.

Ive Been on clomid 50mg EOD for 2 weeks while taking my TRT andoderm patch.

Today was the last day of using a patch and I start dosing 50mg clomid ED as of today.

This thread will be for my personal note taking and hopefully can help others who find themselves in or pondering attempting a similar situation.

For the first week on clomid + patch I felt no changes.

The second week has been an emotional roller coaster with lots of sleeping, anxiety, and floods of emotion that come and go. I'm hoping that stopping the test will actually reduce some of these sides. Breast tissue (I don't have gyno but always had a large chest) seems to be reducing. Libido has been average, nothing impressive or depressing lol.

I'll be getting bw in 2 weeks which will be off test for two weeks and on clomid for 4.

Anecdotally, I'd like an Ai and my dr said he would be more than willing to prescribe adex or aromasin. Also, if the clmoid does not help restart me, he will look at using hcg as well.

I was really lucky to find him... The guy I've had the last 6 months was like 60 or 70 and refused to even check my e2 levels lol. It was a joke. I'm lucky now, he's actually a urologist who specializes in male fertility and HRT

Yeah most doctors are not very open minded.

Well today was third consecutive day on clomid (14 days in total EOD) and first without any test.

Libido seems to be slightly UP, but still finding it very hard to wake up in the mornings.

In the gym, my HIIT seems to be easier than normal and I'm running faster.. Also, i did shoulders today and my strength was pretty insane .. I haven't even been training for strength as of late, but my 3-6 rep range and 6-8 was very impressive from a personal standpoint..

Would love any feedback on morning lethargy...

The endos I saw offered this as an option, but all of them agreed that I would have to stop all test for 30 days before starting Clomid. I don't know if your docs approach was correct or if the endo's approach was. I'll be following this just for interest in your journey.

Hahah well I can answer That for u.

Basically he told me the same thing. But said I'd have to stop test for two weeks- In my mind I was like o fck no I'm not gonna stop all my test and not hve anything to take to keep me going... That's like ending a 6 month cycle with no PCT!

I asked him what he thought about overlapping them... Running the clomid along the test and then coming off the test. His look grew curious as of he was thinking and contemplating... Then his exact words were "actually... Screw it.. U could do that and see how it goes" LOL

Normally I would be like uhh never mind. But our visit had been so good I really trusted him and his judgement.

That being said- now that I'm two days off test- my morning lethargy is all but gone- PERHAPS the mix of test and clomid was causing the intense grogginess and brain fog?

Tonight I really hit a wall at work (waiter) around 9pm.. Just dead tired and lots of arthritis pain returning which had subsided since I'd been on the test.

My mood And anxiety has improved greatly.. But lethargy is biggest issue along with the fact that I am holding noticeably more water in the face and stomach. Thinking estrogen is starting to rise from the clomid. Wont know for sure until bloods which r a whole 7-10 days away plus results waiting time.

I hve erase on hand but I don't want to skew any results... He will probably end up prescribing adex or hopefully aromasin (since that's a suicidal Ai and I prefer those)

Does anyone know what happens after clomid? U just stop and HOPEFULLY your pituitary keeps functioning without it... I know it's not a long term option for treatment

Day 3 of waking up with morning wood which was few and far between even while on TRT....

Strength is still climbing as well but many of my arthritis symptoms in my back (diagnosed in 2012) r returning along with increased in my knees and ankles. Spondylitis to be more specific.

Yeah mine has me on 200mg test weekly with arimidex but for the love of Goodness he won't give me HCG lol.

Well from what I gather, the only reason for running hcg on cycle is to help prevent shutdown in the gonads. Havent u still been able to get mrs packers knocked up while on test? Lol

Ah didn't know u took clomid. Were u shut down prior to using it? Did u come off the test or just add it? (I felt AWFUL) when I added the clomid to test regarding lethargy and emotional

Definitely worth noting that my facial hair growth has slowed down considerably. I would have a thick full beard after two-3 weeks while on trt. The hair is not as thick or fine or dark this time and isn't really as widespread

Nah he has me on 1 cc 200 mg weekly and had me run 50 mg clomid each day for 6 weeks and boom preggars. Now I'm arimidex.

Getting blood in the next couple days. All I know is 50mg ED has officially turned me into an emotional, needy, anxiety riddled little girly man.

I can't wait to get off this stuff even tho I don't know what the next move in the restart is. I just want off.

Does anyone know of there r rebound effects when coming off? Should I go down to 25mg ED for a few days? Thanks.

When the endos suggested this approach for me, it was 25mg eod. 50mg ed is probably like PMS x 10 everyday. Lame.

I started at 50 EOD while tapering down my test= nightmare of lethargy for two weeks

50mg ed for past two weeks=energy is fine but damn I'm a whiny bitch... It's honestly destroying a 3 year relationship..

It's a fertility specialist/urologist fwiw

I was doing ok, yes. But I'm only 24 and want to be able to have kids sooner than later. After That I'm sure I'll be a lifer with injections. I was on the patch for TRT

Dropped down to 25mg today. Will dose at that tomorrow and maybe wed. Then come off right around when I'll begetting my blood work results. Noticing some physical estro sides- water retention and Puffy breast tissue, even tho clomid reduces GYNO its the water and tissue that is causing cone like deposits at the bottom of my pecs. Emotional roller coaster still strong- can't wait to stop and see what the next step is
