As I have said in earlier posts, I am a 48 yr old male, married, with four children. I see no need to retell things I have already said so I will stick to my main question. Primary hypogonadism, at least 12-14 years. Hashimotos hypothroid, at least 12 yrs. Low testosterone and ed for app 12 yrs. I have been on testosterone cypionate injections, and even with that I still require Viagra for sex with my wife. Then along comes the Addison's disease and I get prescribed 5mg prednisone for 5 or 6 days till another endo took me off of it. Two things happened with the Pred. Muscle/joint pain was not as bad and my ed went away for about 10 days. Now, without it, I am the same old me. Is it possible the small dose of Pred. made my ed go away while I was on it? If my new dr chooses hydrocortisone instead after all my tests come back can I expect the same "happy" results? Any of you guys out there have Adrenal Insuffeciency or Addison's disease? Would love to talk with you.

I.would.not touch Cortef ever again. I.have not.had drs i.work wit.need to.prescribe it in over 3 years. Find out why.levels are.low.and deal.with it at the source. I.am.now.working with Drs to.get people.off it because they listen to.some idiot on line tell.them. Imo its a bandaid masking deeper issues..if.person is.hypopituitary then.different story

You took predisone and your symptoms got better. Cortef is the biological equal to predisone which is given. No beer here, little wine LOL.
Long term predisone use you be having nasty side effects even at low dosage. You may have issues with inflammation which need to be dealt which predisone was helping.
