Right but I can still jump in here it is easy first thing that happens is you lose your sex life you can't get it up for sex taking Viagra and in the soft state your penis will not hang as long as normal it's like it's gone into hidding. Next if you let this go to long you will feel joint and muscle pain even clicking in your joints. And some men will feel flashing with bad sweating the can set off a panic attack.
Here is a copy of a file I made on not going to low taking arimidex.
By the way Matrix there is a message posted by one of the guys at the Yahoo forum about Adrenals and Lime he has been bumping this post now for a few times.
How To Take Arimdex and not go down on your Estradiol to Low.
What I found is if you go to low taking arimidex, it's the length of time your to low, if your too low say for 8 weeks it can take your body a longer time to make more Estradiol. Bottom line is to know how not to go to low. Keep a log on your dose and how you feel men going to low can't get it up taking Viagra. I went to low when I first tried Arimidex and did not know about going to low or how one feels to low, so I was low a good 8 weeks. I did not know I was low until my next labs.
The best gage I have found to control your Estradiol levels is to gage your night time and morning wood. At good levels or what I call the sweet spot you get your night time and morning wood back so strong it will wake you up and you can hang a coat on it.
Most men do good taking .25 mgs or 1/4 of a 1mg. pill, I use a pill cutter to cut the small pill in half then I stand it on the cut end and use a single edge razor to cut this in half. A good way to take arimidex is by how high your levels are. I tested over 90 pg/ml so we tried doing .5 mgs every other day after 8 weeks my next set of labs showed it did not move below 90, test said >90. So we did .5 mgs. every day in about 2 weeks I got some strong night time and morning wood back after not having them for many yrs.
I kept doing this dose and in 8 weeks my next set of labs said <20 back in the day labs were like this they did not have to good labs we have today they could not read lower the 20. My Dr. told me this looks to low to stop taking the Arimidex. The one thing I noticed was my wood stopped and stopping the Arimidex my wood came back in about 7 weeks my next test at 8 weeks was 24 pg/ml. So we went back on the Arimidex but the Dr. told me to take .5 mgs every 3 days I was on this dose not a week and lost wood. This is when I figured out going to low you lose wood. And the longer your too low the longer it takes to get levels back up.
I stopped the arimidex right away and got my wood back in 4 days. I then after playing with the dose for a time found the best dose is .25mgs every 2 to 3 days.
So lets say your labs are less the 50 pg/ml if your take .5 mgs you can go down so dam fast your miss the sweet spot of your wood and go to low. It's best with lower levels 50 and under to do less Arimidex .25mgs every 2 days if later your lose wood when it comes back go to every 3 days.
I have found estradiol is the hardest hormone to control, it goes up or down from month to month some times I need .25mgs every 2 days other times I need .25mgs everyday most of the time I do well on every 3 days.
So between wood and labs I do great and so do most of the men I have told this to. I keep a log on how much I am taking and how I feel. Doing this and reading back in my log I was able to tell when I was going to high or to low my Dr. lets me dose my arimidex by how I feel.
Over the yrs. I have posted this story until I am blue in the face.

any other symptoms of low e, which are similar to high e, such as bloating fluid retention fat gain, or are those symptoms only typical of high estrogen?

Interesting, as i thought only high estrogen causes bloating and fluid retention and wasnt aware low estrogen can do the same
so if e is to low, then one looses all night time and early am wood, or can it still go to low but still have the night time/am wood?
from reading i gather one can get sore joints when estrogen is to low and to high, seems the sides of e are very similar for either scenario
I believe its possible that the supplement dim in particular could also increase estrogen, and not always reduce it?

Dim is a hit.or.miss can go both waysOriginally Posted by miniarnold

thats what ive read, seems its not a true ai that will lower e, and can raise it instead and cause sides of high/raised estrogen.
is a symptom of low e no more nocturnal wood, or can one be to low and still have this wood?
what natural ais do you use or prescribe (i gather dim and myomin are both balancers and can actually rasie e) ?

Myomin its Chinese herbs.may contain heavy.metals. You.do.not.know.what the repercussions.of.it.is on other enzymatic pathway. It may be correcting one thing and.altering another. Balancing e2 sometimes often gets resolved by correcting other issues in the body such as gut and.liver. Where is estrogen properly.metabolized ? Gut and.liver where do 90% of.cases have imbalances? Gut and.liver ...hmm wouldnt you focus there first for.estrogen issues. 70% have mthfr gene mutation which can effect.. guess what detoxification of pathways which do what? Gets.rid.of.estrogen...is it me.or can't any one else see the simplicity in things..still have to look at thyroid and adrenal, lifestyle , environmental factors. Treat the person as whole not one system.for get the rest..Do not get me wrong, there is a place for hormones dr. As many of you are finding because the way environment and stress is altering DNA expression is changing the whole playing field. Because other areas where not explored before being on TRT, it could have been masking something deeper. Under no way do I alter what the dr has the person doing, I just complement it by correcting other areas of the person health to make it work synergistically together. We are working on cases with The God father of hrt himself Dr Shippen right now to help a way to correct Finasteride damage and are making progress ever so slowly. The end message as health professionals we need to put our ego aside and work together to best benefit the person. My goal was to make an impact on the health care system and I am doing that. It may be pissing some people off in the process, they'll get over it.Originally Posted by miniarnold

DIM is not a true AI. It is primarily aimed at altering Estradiol metablolism toward less carcicnogenic/estrogenic forms.

Curious to know if the symptom of low estrogen always results in the loss of nocturanal/night time wood from e dropping to low,
or can one be to low on estrogen but STILL have nocturnal wood?
06-09-2012, 02:54 PM
It can happen but it's rare to have Rem Sleep Wood when your Estrtaidol levels are low and stop calling it estrogen your going to be one day taking to your Dr. about this and when you ask him about your Estrogen he will test your Estrogen and this would be the wrong test.
When men go to low on E2 Estradiol it kills there penis you can't get it up taking Viagra even in the soft state it hangs very small. If you let to go to low then your joints will start to hurt and can even make a clicking sound. Some men when to low even have flashing with bad sweating and Panic feelings.

K thanks gamer, wasnt sure or not if all wood is lost when e2 drops to low, or if e2 can drop to low and one can still keep nocturnal/early am wood
as you say this seems to be rare and when e2 is to low usually all wood is lost.

Yes it's very rare to get Rem Sleep Wood when your to low yet I have had some men younger ones tell me there labs showed them to low and they still had RSW. But after talking to them more I found out they did the new Labcorp or Quest labs Sensitive Estradiol E2 test and there new testing for this is not working right.
About 4 yrs ago Quest labs came out with a new test called the Ultra-Sensitive Estraidol test with a range of <29 this test still today does not work well to many men are told there levels are <4.
Now Labcorp has a new Sensitive Estradol test out range goes to 70 and they are tells most of the men doing this test there levels are <3 this is not possable. Them men are posting they feel high when this test is telling them they are low.
Even Matrix was told this and not feeling right I kept telling him his E2 is not low must be there test then after about a yr. of this crap he did a older Quest Estradol test #4021 and this showed him to high. He went back on some Arimidex and started to feel better.
The labcorp test this is good is the older one ending in the numbers 15.

It would be helpful to know if ones night time/nocturnal/very early am wood can increase if e2 increases,
or can wood actually only increase when the e2 levels reduce?

just wanted to know the possibilities and if wood can actually increase even if e2 rises,
and not just only when e2 lowers?
