After 6 weeks on 6 pumps of Androgel 1.62, my testosterone level fell to 160 total and 5.9 free test. I have now been put on Chlorcon or potassium oncw a day due to low level of potassium, 3.3 meq/l range of 3.6-5.1 Sodium and chloride serum levels were just under the range as well. Anyone else had this problem? 2 yrs ago endo checked fsh, c peptide, prolatin, etc and all were in range. She said I was primary hypo.

Since to shots will resolve this, and blood levels should be checked after 7 days on gels. You may be allergic to soy in the carrier. Primary based on high LH and FSH? What was her clinical reason for primary. If over age 35 yes goto HRT <30 find out way your levels are out of balance in the first place.

Yes, I amover 35, 48 yr old. On and off hrt last 10 yrs, levels always drop below 260 without hrt. Doc is going to try me on shots, one every 2 weeks. I asked what it was but only remember 1cc. Thick needle, a little painful during injection and sore butt for 2/3 days. Felt a little better day after, more energy, less body aches and pain, mood much better. By 4th day, I feel like crap again. Any connection between the low potassium and the low T levels? Which happened first? I hope she will up the dose in six weeks. The closest hrt clinic or specialist to me is and hour or more away, so I am going to try to stick with my GP, thanks for the reply.
