So my clinic is no longer able to ship meds out of state without me consulting with another Dr for them here, so I've been in the process of switching to a local NY clinic. I ran out of test almost 2 months ago and have been on HCG mono since then. Since I have a lot of HCG, I haven't been in a rush to start with the new clinic, since traveling and lots of bread would be involved to get started again.

But here's what I've been noticing on HCG mono again. It's been a while since I've tried it..

Keep in mind, I'm not using a very high dose of HCG, only roughly 1000iu per week or less even. Not on ANY test. Also keep in mind I am somewhat primary, I have a vericocele that's been untreated on the left side. Getting it looked at in October by a uro surgion.

Protocol:

~ 150-200iu HCG eod
~ 12.5mg aromasin only 2-3 times per week (very low amount)

Super strong wood / random daytime wood that sometimes lingers
Wood all night long / morning
Sexual dreams, almost everyday

But my gym performance has gone down a bit.. due to lower test levels, I can tell

I'm guessing my T/E is good. Test must not be very high though, I can tell in the gym and with motivation in general right now, but it's not bad/horrible.

Well anyhow, I'm due to get my HCG-mono labs back this week, I'll post them in here. I'm very curious to see the #'s while I'm on hcg mono, with a varicocele, especially since wood is so great right now. It's better than it's ever been on TRT. In fact, I only remember it being this great while on monotherapy. I'll have to try to keep this ratio once I start test again.

if it is working stay with it. When body encounters.stress u r gonna be vulnerable to the natural shift. With cortisol because it is not hormone replacement therapy. Do remember the hcg has many metabolic pathway it could go.unlike hrt

Oh, sorry I should mention I am still taking 25mg of HC daily

I'm looking forward to these labs though. But I think I will need to start test again, just not feeling the same as before. Sexually things are good, but not the other things (mood/performance/etc). I'm feeling the pre-TRT anxiety slip back into play again. Things are much smoother when my test is up at the higher end of range.

Do you think increase hcg is worth the risk of rising estradiol to.get.more.test? You.are.on a a lot.of aromasin for.little hcg. Do you think hcg is affecting your thyroid? I will get test to confirm that the thyroid was.not altered by the hcg. Are you looked into other factors affecting this ?I have some guys to have a lot of mutations in mthfr with e2 issue myself.included.

Well I am somewhat primary, I don't think adding more HCG will help too much. I've tried high doses in the past. Once I get the varicocele surgery then it may be worth a try. But soon I hope to start test-cyp again.

I've stopped my thyroid meds too. I was on 30mcg of t3 spread over the day for a couple years. I switched to 10mcg and then nothing the past while. My thyroid was ok before but reverse T3 was in upper range. Should be good now. I need thyroid labs again.

I actually thought my aromasin dose is fairly low? For me anyhow. I used to take 12.5mg daily. Now only 2-3 times per week. What other factors should I look into? Also, my SHBG is low on my last test (was 5, while total test was 600 - was on a lil bit of test and same HCG as now). I'll update my labs in here this week. When I started real HRT, my SHBG was 21.

i.would look.into.hidden.insulin resistance or.leptin resistance with low shbg. Also.look.into gi tract and.liver since they are crucial for.glucose metabolism. Too.much cortisol with out hcg to balance may result in insulin resistance.. Taking hcg can also lower.dhea.

I was also diagnosed with low DHEA (in the 100's) prior to HRT as well, and prior to HCG, so adrenals looked to have been an issue for a while. With low DHEA, it will be curious to see how well the HCG is working, if much at all atm. I haven't been supplementing with DHEA, only once in a while.

True. I guess I find it very odd that while on test-cyp + hcg, full HRT, sexual function etc was up and down. Now while temporarily on hcg mono it's very solid, no need for cialis etc. Does this point to E2 issue, since I'm basically much lower in the test range and hardly using any AI?

Keep in mind I didn't start hcg mono by choice. It's all I have until I start with a new clinic.

This situation feels so similar to when I was stuck abroad for a week with nothing other than HC...no hcg or test. My libido and sexual function were super high then and I had no crash even though stress levels were through the roof.

I know I definitely need more test in my system to feel normal. It's too bad I can't dial in the same sexual function as now when I'm back on test. I guess more frequent labs are needed.
