low test/ prostate swelling on low dose test?

So my old man is 48, and take 150mg of testim gel a week. His levels are normally around 250 all other values are within normal ranges. His problem is that he is very androgen sensitive and gets bad prostate swelling even from that. He doesnt care about his total test levels but wants a decent libido and something he can take forever. So how about AI like arimidex or exemestane for libido and very small test boost?
Or dermacrine? or DAA- I have suggested it but he refuses to believe in supplements. triptorelin? Basically my dad has never pct and abused juice for long long periods of time and now just wants a libido.

4 weeks later DAA Dermacrine Exemestane 12.5mg every 4th day
Stop the DAA/Ai

and restart forever?

thoughts or suggestions, if you suggest supplements I have to buy them to prove it to him so lets stick with medical.

On a side note DAA does nothing for me so I have a hard time suggesting it for him but maybe it would work better for a older guy

Your playing with fire and would not really recommend this approach. Its very dangerous and triporelan has not been clinically studied on this environment with long term studies or follow ups. Until more information is known about it, I would use extreme caution.

Couldn't have said it better. His prostate problem is probably from the elevated DHT.

Before you recommend DAA or anything else, look at the directions...."Do not consume more than 1 scoop per day or for longer than 8 continuous weeks without at least 4 weeks off."
TRT is forever, so anything that has to be cycled is useless for TRT.
AI's can kill libido if you go too low. He should get that tested before he tries to treat by that route. Based upon his age, it is unlikely that he could do a succesful resart.

He needs to avoid finasteride or dutasteride at all costs. An alpha-1 receptor antagonist such as Flomax or Uroxatral can be used to reduce the prostate if he wants to continue the gel.

I am 40 and had a very low testosterone level that was affecting my libido. I also have had issues with my prostate being enlarged as well several cases of prostatatitis. I have been on Fortesta for a little over three months and I haven't had any worse symptoms than I did before I started using it. It is a testosterone gel that comes in a pump can and delivers 10 mg per pump. I am on 40 mg a day and I love it. I have my libido back and way more energy. I thinks it's pretty new on the market and it's not cheap. If you have any other questions I will try to answer them.
